Dune Awakening achievements number 74 on Steam and Xbox, while PS5 has 70 trophies plus a platinum. So yes, there is a platinum, and it requires all 70 other trophies. The toughest ones aren't boss fights but grinds, like mining 10,000 units of every resource type with a handheld tool.
Below you'll find the achievements sorted by category, the differences between PC, PS5 and Xbox, the rarest ones with real unlock rates, and the one point in the game where a choice can cost you an achievement.
๐ How Many Dune Awakening Achievements Are There?
The count depends on the platform. Steam and Xbox share the same list, PS5 has four fewer entries plus a platinum trophy:

PS5 is missing exactly these four entries from the Steam list: "Trader" (trade with another player), "Strength In Numbers" (join or create a guild), "Bannerman" (place a banner in your base) and "Time to Relax" (per Exophase: sit on a chair). In practice, that means PS5 players don't need trading or a guild for the platinum.
๐ฎ Do Achievements Count in Single-Player Mode?
There's no official statement. Neither the single-player announcement nor the patch notes for Update 1.5 and its hotfixes up to 1.5.3.7 mention achievements or trophies. That's why we won't say they definitely count in solo, even though nothing suggests otherwise.
One detail from the patch notes still matters for achievement hunters in solo mode: Hotfix 1.5.3.5 on September 30, 2026 fixed surveyed areas in single-player mode being lost after a restart. If you're working on "Explorer" (survey all regions in Hagga Basin), check areas you surveyed before that hotfix on your map. Everything else that's different in solo is in our single-player guide.

The rates in this table come from Steam's global stats and cover every Steam owner of the game. They're a snapshot from October 8, 2026:

"Miner" stands out: it doesn't ask for a lot of material overall, but 10,000 units of every resource type, and only with the handheld tool. Even the third story achievement, "The Great Convention", is almost three times as common on Steam. If you want it, count from day one and don't switch to vehicles too early for any resource.
๐ Story and Quest Chains
The main story has three achievements: "Echoes of the Past" for the first, "The Assassin's Handbook" for the second and "The Great Convention" for the third part. Funcom doesn't say how these three parts map to the five acts of Book 1. For an overview of the acts, see our main quest guide.
Nine more are tied to quest chains. Steam hides these descriptions, so the chain names come from the data on Exophase:

- Kirab Instigator: chain "Payback"
- Infiltrate and Neutralize: chain "Finding Sehmo"
- Silver or Steel?: chain "Monster Slaying"
- Survivor's Guilt: chain "Absent Colonel"

- Intelligence and Counter-Intelligence: "Payload" or "Counter Agent"

โ ๏ธ Missable? The Vision Inside the Sandworm
Almost every achievement is a counter or a building task you can finish at any time. One possible exception is "Lisan al-Gaib". According to Exophase, it requires you to refuse the offer of the vision inside the sandworm. We couldn't confirm whether the scene can be repeated if you accept. If you want the achievement, refuse.
"Master Assassin" has a prerequisite: it only counts troops of the opposing house, so you need a faction first. Which house you pick doesn't matter. What else that choice does is explained in our faction guide.
๐จ Building, Vehicles and Base
Several entries track your base progress:
- Basic Machinery: place all basic buildables (fabricator, purifier, generator, refineries).
- Advanced Machinery: all standard and improved buildables, per Exophase including the Fremen Deathstill and the Windtrap.
- Ultimate Machinery: all advanced buildables. At 2.6% on Steam, one of the rarer entries.
- Feels Like Home: 20 furniture pieces, 5 carpets, 10 lights and 5 ornaments in your base. Which sets to buy for that is in our furniture guide.
- Vehicle Master: construct all vehicles. The starting points are the Sandbike and the Scout Ornithopter, which have their own entries, "Across the Sands" and "Above the Sands".
There are also five trainer achievements ("Swordmaster", "Planetologist", "Bene Gesserit", "Trooper", "Mentat") for completing each trainer's full training. Where to find the trainers is in our trainer locations guide.
๐บ๏ธ Places and Oddities
Some entries only need a visit: Riftwatch ("Among the Griffins"), Helius Gate ("Among the Hawks"), Arrakeen, Harko Village and the Deep Desert ("Sea of Sand"). "Merchant" requires every tradepost in Hagga Basin. Three climbing achievements lead to landmarks: the top of the Hand of Khidr ("Desert's Grasp"), the top of Mirzabah ("On Top of the World") and the mouth of the Stone Sentinel ("Dentist").
The rest is everyday play with a counter: draw 50,000 ml of blood ("Vampire"), collect 50,000 ml of water with the Dew Reaper ("Water Shippers Hate Him"), drink 1,000 sips from a container ("Thirst Quenched", 3.1% on Steam), put 100 bodies into a Fremen Deathstill ("Deathstiller") or escape the sandworm and let it stare you down ("Staring Contest"). ๐ Console vs. PC: Who's How Far Along
Our own comparison shows how young the console version still is. It's based on Steam's stats and the rates from the community site Exophase, which only counts players registered there (around 3,200 on Xbox, around 900 on PS5):

The Xbox rates are low across the board. One obvious explanation is Game Pass, where many people only try the game briefly. That's a guess, though. According to Exophase, five of the PS5 players tracked there had the platinum on October 8, 2026.
๐ก Tips for Hunting All Dune Awakening Achievements
- Let counters run in the background: 500 each of Kirab, Sandflies, Deserters, Slavers, Scavengers and Maas Kharet count across your entire playtime. Farming them on purpose only makes sense once everything else is done.
- Repeat abilities: Hunter Seeker, the Litany, Suspensor Blast and "Eye of the Storm" 25 times each. Once the ability is unlocked, it's only a matter of time.
- Don't put the handheld tool away: for "Miner", only manual mining counts. Vehicles don't help.
- Don't forget spice: "Those Who Control the Spice..." wants 2,000 Spice Sand from compacted spice mounds. How that works is in our spice farming guide.

Is there a platinum trophy in Dune Awakening?
Yes. On PS5 it's called "The Awakened" and requires all 70 other trophies. Steam and Xbox have no comparable completion achievement.
How many Dune Awakening achievements are there?
74 on Steam and Xbox, and 71 trophies on PS5 including the platinum.
Do I need other players for every achievement?
On Steam and Xbox, "Trader" requires trading with another player and "Strength In Numbers" requires a guild. Both are missing on PS5, so the platinum is possible without them.
Can you miss achievements?
Most of them, no. Be careful with "Lisan al-Gaib": it requires refusing the vision's offer inside the sandworm. Whether the scene can be repeated isn't confirmed.
Which achievement is the rarest?
On Steam it's "Miner" at 0.3% (as of October 8, 2026), just ahead of "The Divided Messiah" and the third story achievement.
Do achievements count in solo mode?
Funcom hasn't said. Patch notes and announcements don't address it.
