To build Dune Awakening furniture, you buy a furniture set from a vendor. The set unlocks the individual pieces, which you then place with the Construction Tool. A bed or wardrobe then costs just 50 Granite Stone, and the cheapest CHOAM sets need no Faction Rank at all.
So the real hurdle is Solaris and rank, not materials. This guide lists every furniture, lighting and decoration set with prices and requirements from the game data, works out what a complete interior costs, and shows which sets you get for free or only through DLC and editions.
๐ช How Dune Awakening furniture works
Furniture isn't in the research tree. Each set is an item of its own, listed by the database dune.gaming.tools as a buildable, and it unlocks a fixed list of pieces. The CHOAM Office Furniture Set, for example, opens seven pieces, including a desk, bookshelf, wall partition and couch.
After that you build the pieces like walls or foundations: pick the Construction Tool, switch category, place. In the game data, beds, wardrobes, tables and chairs sit in the furniture category, while banners count as wall decoration.
Build costs are low and almost identical for every piece. We pulled samples from four sets; every piece except the banner is in the furniture category:
| Piece | Build cost | Health |
|---|---|---|
| Bed (Atreides set) | 50 Granite Stone | 500 |
| Wardrobe (Atreides set) | 50 Granite Stone | 500 |
| Bed (CHOAM set) | 50 Granite Stone | 500 |
| Couch (Contemplation Tea House) | 50 Granite Stone | 500 |
| Table (Matron's Decor) | 50 Granite Stone | 500 |
| Banner (Matron's Decor, wall decoration) | 50 Plastone, 15 Agave Seeds | 3,500 |
The health gap makes for a small practical tip: furniture takes 500 points, the banner seven times that. If you build in the Deep Desert, where bases can be attacked, you're more likely to lose the furniture than the wall art. How to keep your base shield stable is in the base building guide.
๐ท๏ธ CHOAM sets: the cheap start without rank
CHOAM sells its sets to anyone, with no faction tie. That makes them the first pick for fresh characters who don't belong to a house yet. Prices come from the game data of version 1.5.3.6:
| Set | Pieces | Price | Contents (selection) |
|---|---|---|---|
| CHOAM Office Furniture Set | 7 | 2,000 Solaris | Desk, bookshelf, wall partition, couch, chair |
| CHOAM Bedroom Furniture Set | 9 | 2,500 Solaris | Bed, drawers, side table, four couch modules |
| CHOAM Dining Room Furniture Set | 5 | 3,000 Solaris | Dining table, chair, CHOAM banner, hologram projector |
| CHOAM Advanced Lights Set | 2 | 2,500 Solaris | Two ceiling lights |
| CHOAM Office Small Decorations Set | 5 | 5,000 Solaris | Books, urn, trophy |
| CHOAM Bedroom Small Decorations Set | 4 | 5,000 Solaris | Four vases |
| CHOAM Dining Room Small Decorations Set | 7 | 5,000 Solaris | Tableware and a spice jar |
Notice that the three decoration sets cost more than the office or bedroom. If money is tight, buy bedroom and office first and add vases and tableware later.
According to the database, Soha Sirrendrin sells the sets with unlimited stock. Ormuna Laaks, Traj Axxari, Zoe, Myr Charki and Tyg Rolsum each carry individual sets with a stock of one. According to the community site method.gg, Soha Sirrendrin is the CHOAM vendor in Arrakeen and Ormuna Laaks is in Harko Village. These locations date from August 2025 and aren't officially confirmed.
๐๏ธ Atreides and Harkonnen furniture: rank and double price
The house sets are bigger and fancier but require a rank with a faction. Both houses offer the same four sets. We matched the ranks from the game data (English rank names) against the rank table of the community wiki awakening.wiki:
| Set | Rank | Price, own house | Price, other side | Pieces Atreides / Harkonnen |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic Lights Set | Rank 2 (Recruit) | 5,000 Solaris | 10,000 Solaris | 5 / 4 |
| Office Furniture Set | Rank 3 (Contractor) | 10,000 Solaris | 20,000 Solaris | 12 / 12 |
| Bedroom Furniture Set | Rank 4 (Agent) | 15,000 Solaris | 30,000 Solaris | 11 / 10 |
| Dining Room Furniture Set | Rank 5 (House Operator) | 15,000 Solaris | 30,000 Solaris | 13 / 14 |
So the other side's sets aren't locked, they're twice as expensive, and they require the matching rank in your own house. Atreides players buy the Harkonnen sets from Phin O'Garee in Arrakeen, Harkonnen players buy the Atreides sets from Ormuna Laaks. Sets for your own house come from your faction's supply vendors and quartermasters.
The dining room sets are the biggest: the Atreides one includes a chandelier, a Caladan solido, fish artwork and a full table setting. How to raise your rank quickly and what a switch costs is explained in our faction guide.
๐ฐ What a full interior costs
From the game data you can work out what all sets of one line cost (our own math):
- All seven CHOAM sets: 25,000 Solaris for 39 pieces, no rank needed.
- All four sets of your own house: 45,000 Solaris, complete from Rank 5.
- All four sets of the other side: 90,000 Solaris.
On top of that comes Granite Stone for every piece you place. At 50 per piece, a fully furnished bedroom with ten pieces needs around 500 Granite Stone. How to earn the Solaris is in the Solaris farming guide.
๐ Free set from Update 1.5: Matron's Decor
With Hotfix 1.5.3.1, Funcom introduced a free decoration set. According to the patch notes, everyone who logs in between September 17 and October 22, 2026 gets it. Funcom's newsletter says "until October 22nd"; whether the 22nd itself still counts isn't spelled out, so log in before then to be safe. The set has six pieces: a banner, two chairs, two tables and a carpet.
Funcom calls the package "Matron's Decor" in the community newsletter of October 1. According to Funcom, you'll find the pieces directly in the Construction Tool. The carpet costs 50 Plant Fiber instead of Granite Stone, according to the community wiki.
๐ฆ Sets from DLC, editions and events
Some building sets can't be bought from vendors:
- Sardaukar (Filmic Archive): 73 Sardaukar building pieces and 17 Sardaukar decorations. Hotfix 1.5.3.5 added mirrored versions of eleven asymmetrical pieces and the missing Corner Column piece. What else the DLC includes is in our article on the Filmic Archive.
- Caladan Palace Building Set: only in the Ultimate Edition. The differences between editions are covered in the editions comparison.
- The Lost Harvest: according to Funcom, owners of this DLC got 17 additional Dune Man building pieces in October 2025, 21 in total.
- Tea house: the Contemplation Tea House pieces, such as the couch, baliset and wall relief, were weekly rewards for the 2026 anniversary, according to the database.
Important for solo players: according to Hotfix 1.5.3.4, the pieces of the Caladan Palace set and the Sentinel set were missing from the build menu after Update 1.5. That's fixed in multiplayer. For single-player mode, Funcom announced the fix for a later patch. Hotfixes 1.5.3.6 (October 6) and 1.5.3.7 (October 9) don't mention it.
๐ก Tips before you buy furniture
- CHOAM first, then your house: for 7,500 Solaris you get the CHOAM office, bedroom and dining room and can start building right away while you work toward Rank 5 for the house sets.
- Don't buy from the enemy: the other side's house sets cost double. Only pay the markup if you really want that look.
- Watch the build limits: since Update 1.5, single-player lets you adjust base building piece limits in the settings. If you furnish a lot, turn that up first. The single-player settings guide explains the sliders.
- Tea house pieces moved: Update 1.5 moved two Contemplation Tea House pieces, the Baliset and the Tea Service, out of the furniture category into the Deco and Ornamental categories. If you're missing them, look there.
โ FAQ about Dune Awakening furniture
Where do I find furniture in the build menu?
In the furniture category of the Construction Tool. Which pieces show up depends on which sets you've bought.
Do I need to research furniture?
No. Furniture is unlocked through purchased sets, not the research tree. After that you build with materials, usually 50 Granite Stone per piece.
Which furniture can I get without a faction?
All seven CHOAM sets. They have no rank requirement and cost between 2,000 and 5,000 Solaris.
Can I build Harkonnen furniture as an Atreides?
Yes, at double the price from Phin O'Garee and with the matching rank in your own house. In the other direction, Ormuna Laaks sells the Atreides sets to Harkonnen players.
How long is the free decoration set available?
According to the Hotfix 1.5.3.1 patch notes, for everyone who logs in between September 17 and October 22, 2026. In the October 1 newsletter, Funcom writes "until October 22nd". Funcom hasn't said whether the set will return afterwards.
Why are my Caladan Palace pieces missing?
A bug from Update 1.5. It's fixed in multiplayer since Hotfix 1.5.3.4; for single-player mode, Funcom says the fix is still pending.
