Dune Awakening Anniversary Event 2026: Free Rewards, Boost Weekends and What Came Next
Exactly one year after the PC launch, Funcom celebrated the first birthday of Dune Awakening. There was a developer livestream and a four-week Dune Awakening anniversary event full of free rewards. The event ended on July 10, 2026. Here's what it offered week by week, when the boost weekends ran and what has happened since.
๐ The Anniversary Stream for the First Birthday
On June 10, 2026 at 6:00 PM CEST, a developer livestream ran on Twitch and YouTube. Funcom looked back on the first year on Arrakis. The team answered community questions in a Q&A and talked about the next steps for the game. Dune Awakening launched on PC on June 10, 2025, so the stream landed exactly on the anniversary.
๐ The Dune Awakening Anniversary Event: June 10 to July 10, 2026
Alongside the stream, a four-week event ran with free rewards, progression boost weekends and community-focused activities. It started on June 10 and ended on July 10, 2026, matching the original launch anniversary. It also overlapped with the Steam Summer Sale (June 25 to July 9). During the sale, the game was 40% off.
๐ All Rewards in Detail
The centerpiece was the "Contemplation Tea House" collection. It's a matching decor set for your home, plus an eye-catching armor cosmetic. Each week unlocked another part, and all parts stacked over the month:
- Week 1: counter pieces and the light armor variant "Master Operative of the Dunes".
- Week 2: tea house seating, a sofa and an armchair.
- Week 3: a table and a tea set.
- Week 4: the final decor pieces, including a mural and a baliset.
If you took part in all four weeks, you got the complete, matching set.
โก The Four Boost Weekends
There were also four limited boost weekends. Each one gave double gains in one area of progression. They ran from Friday morning to Monday morning:
- June 12โ15: double faction reputation.
- June 19โ22: double House Scrip.
- June 26โ29: double specialization XP.
- July 3โ6: double Overland Testing Station loot.
At the start of the event, every player's Mnemonic Recollections were topped up to 35. That way you could use the Scrip, faction and specialization XP boosts to the fullest.
