Dune Awakening Deep Desert Map: Fixed Locations, PvP Line and Reset Times

The Dune Awakening Deep Desert map changes every week in multiplayer, but not all of it. The points of interest along the Shield Wall in rows A and B stay put, and the Coriolis Storm reshuffles everything behind them. According to the countdown on dune.gaming.tools, the weekly reset for Europe last hit on Tuesday at around 4:00 UTC, and North America followed about seven hours later.

Below are the 21 locations you can rely on every week, where the PvP line runs, when the reset hits each region and what the map fixes in patch 1.5.15.0 do. How the whole world fits together is covered in our Dune Awakening map guide. For farming routes, see the Deep Desert PvE guide.

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ How the Dune Awakening Deep Desert Map Is Laid Out

You reach the Deep Desert through the Overland Map. In its developer blog of March 13, 2025, Funcom described it as "a vast expanse of open sand nine times larger than Hagga Basin." The area is split into sectors, with letters marking the rows. Rows A and B sit right at the Shield Wall.

For planning, one split matters. A thin strip along the Shield Wall stays the same every week. The rest of the Dune Awakening Deep Desert map is regenerated in multiplayer when the Coriolis Storm rolls through. According to the community wiki awakening.wiki, the storm destroys everything in the Deep Desert, and most of the map changes weekly.

๐Ÿ“ 21 Fixed Locations on the Dune Awakening Deep Desert Map

The community wiki awakening.wiki (as of September 29, 2026) lists fixed points of interest in rows A and B that the Coriolis Storm doesn't reset. Here they are, grouped by type.

TypeCountLocations per the community wiki
Testing Stations9Botany Resort, Spice Library, The Museum, Testing Station 37, 93, 148, 185, 186 and 217
Shipwrecks10Wreck of the Archidamas III, Cycliadas, Dioedas, Eumenes, Hicetas, Hyperbatas, Orsippus, Proxenus, Stasanor and Xenophon
House Representatives2House Maros, House Wayku

That adds up to 21 fixed points on the Dune Awakening Deep Desert map. If you start a new week without any overview, these give you a reliable first stop for testing stations and wrecks. Keep in mind this is community data, not something Funcom has confirmed.

โš”๏ธ PvE and PvP Instance: Where the Line Runs

Since patch 1.3.20.0 on April 28, 2026, every official World has at least one PvE and one PvP instance of the Deep Desert. When you enter from the Overland Map, the patch notes say the instance selector now clearly shows whether you're heading into PvE or PvP. According to Funcom, the PvE instance is PvE throughout.

The PvP instance went back to the launch rule. Funcom's wording: PvP starts "at the B-row outside of the Shieldwall area." The community wiki describes the PvP version as entirely PvP except for the Shield Wall along rows A and B. The two roughly agree. For the exact line inside row B, check the zone indicator in game.

The reward for the risk is still there. Per the 1.3.20.0 patch notes, PvP areas give 2.5 times the yield from mining and harvesting all resources. Funcom repeated that in its Update 1.5 announcement on September 17, 2026. The storm hits both instances the same way, and the area behind the Shield Wall is regenerated in both.

โฐ When the Reset Hits: Times by Region

Funcom's patch notes don't give a fixed time for the Coriolis Storm that rebuilds the Dune Awakening Deep Desert map. The database dune.gaming.tools shows a countdown per server region instead. When we checked on October 23, 2026 at 13:27 UTC, its weekly layout covered October 20 to 27. We converted the countdowns to UTC and US Eastern time:

RegionCountdown when checkedReset (UTC)Reset (Eastern, standard time)
Oceania3 d 5 h 32 minMonday around 19:00Monday around 2 PM
Asia3 d 7 h 32 minMonday around 21:00Monday around 4 PM
Europe3 d 14 h 32 minTuesday around 4:00Monday around 11 PM
South America3 d 18 h 32 minTuesday around 8:00Tuesday around 3 AM
North America3 d 21 h 32 minTuesday around 11:00Tuesday around 6 AM

Two things stand out. There are 16 hours between the first reset in Oceania and the last one in North America. And since the reset is tied to UTC in this data, it moves by an hour on your local clock when daylight saving time changes. US clocks went back on November 1, so the Eastern column shows standard time. These values come from a fan site and can shift with maintenance.

What exactly the storm destroys and why single-player works differently is covered in our Coriolis Storm guide.

๐Ÿงญ Reading the Weekly Dune Awakening Deep Desert Map on dune.gaming.tools

Funcom doesn't offer an interactive Dune Awakening Deep Desert map. The database dune.gaming.tools maintains a weekly map instead. On October 23, 2026 it offered these filters:

  • Points of Interest: caves, Shipwrecks, Fallen Shipwrecks, Testing Stations, loot containers, Intel finds and House Representatives.
  • Spice: spice fields in three sizes: large, medium and small.
  • Resources: 14 filters, including Titanium Ore, Stravidium Mass, Aluminum Ore, Jasmium Crystal and Erythrite Crystal.
  • Other: the taxi service.

There's also a separate toggle for single-player mode. For Plastanium you mostly want the Titanium Ore and Stravidium Mass filters. The full chain is in our Plastanium guide. If you're after spice, show only the large and medium fields. How the harvest works is in the spice farming guide.

๐Ÿ‘ค The Dune Awakening Deep Desert Map in Single-Player Mode

Solo, the Deep Desert in Dune Awakening behaves differently. According to Funcom's Update 1.5 announcement, the Coriolis Storm there no longer kills you instantly and no longer wipes the Deep Desert, so you keep your progress. The Update 1.5 patch notes add that the map never resets.

What that means for you: a fan site's weekly layout won't match your world in single-player. Your own exploration is what counts, and your own markers stay. Everything else that applies solo is in our single-player guide.

๐Ÿ”ง What Patch 1.5.15.0 Fixes on the Map

Patch 1.5.15.0 from October 19, 2026 includes several small fixes that help with getting around the Dune Awakening Deep Desert map. According to the official patch notes:

  • Spice Yield on the Survey Report no longer shows only an X in areas that actually have spice fields.
  • Intel tooltips no longer disappear from the map after you discover an outpost.
  • The map's z-order was changed, so region names no longer overlap when you hover over the map with the legend open.
  • Map filters stay visible while you use the map with mouse or gamepad, and the filter shortcut in the map menu no longer locks up.
  • Static Compactor effects show up again in large spice fields and Flour Sand fields in the Deep Desert.

Hotfixes 1.5.15.1 and 1.5.15.2, released up to October 22, deal with connection and the travel queue, not with navigation.

๐Ÿ’ก Navigation Tips for the Dune Awakening Deep Desert Map

  • Start at the fixed locations after a reset: the 21 points in rows A and B don't need a new overview. Explore the new sectors from there.
  • Use the Cartographer skill: according to Funcom, it widens the radius in which you uncover hidden parts of the map.
  • Watch the vibration meter: patch 1.3.20.0 raised the maximum range at which the red vibration meter shows up in the Deep Desert from 500 to 1,500 meters. More on that in our sandworm guide.
  • Clear storage before the reset: on North American servers, empty your Deep Desert containers by Monday night. On European servers the storm arrives even earlier, late Monday evening Eastern time.
