A Dune Awakening guild costs 1,000 Solari to found, and you create or join one through the social menu, either by applying or by accepting an invite. Order matters here: every new guild starts neutral. Only the leader can align it with House Atreides or House Harkonnen, and from that point on, House allegiance decides who gets to stay.
This guide covers founding, joining, House alignment, the Landsraad and the access levels for your base. There's also a section for everyone who has been playing alone in single-player mode since the console launch. Wherever a detail only comes from community sources, we say so.
๐ฏ Dune Awakening Guild: The Key Facts
| Question | Answer | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Cost to found | 1,000 Solari | Community wiki, several guides |
| Where to create or join? | Social menu, guild tab | Community guides |
| Max members | 32 players | Gaming press report (Mein-MMO, 2025) |
| House alignment | Starts neutral, the leader aligns it | Community wiki |
| Across Sietches? | Yes, within the same world | Mein-MMO, community guides |
| Solo option | A one-person guild is possible | Community wiki |
The 32-member cap comes from a report from June 2025. Funcom hasn't publicly changed that number since, but it hasn't confirmed it again either. Check the current limit in the guild tab yourself, where every guild shows its open slots.
โ๏ธ How to Create a Guild in Dune Awakening
- Save up 1,000 Solari. The fastest ways to make money are in our Solaris farming guide.
- Open the social menu and switch to the guild tab.
- Pick the option to create a guild, choose a name and confirm the cost.
- You're now the guild leader. Your new group is neutral and not tied to any House yet.
There's no minimum member count. The community wiki explicitly describes a solo setup as possible. That's interesting for solo players on public servers, because it gives you access to everything tied to a guild without having to match anyone else's play schedule.
๐ Joining a Guild: Applications, Invites, Discord
The same tab lists guilds that are recruiting, along with their open slots. You can apply there or accept an invite directly. Many bigger groups also recruit through Discord and ask for a short application or fixed play times.
Check two things first:
- World, not server: members have to play on the same world, but the Sietch can differ. If you plan to switch servers later, read our Dune Awakening server transfer guide first, because your base doesn't move with you automatically.
- Your House: if the guild is already aligned and you belong to the other side, you can't join. Neutral players, on the other hand, can join any aligned guild.
๐๏ธ House Alignment: Atreides, Harkonnen or Neutral
House alignment is where most misunderstandings about the Dune Awakening guild system come from. The community wiki describes the rules like this:
| Situation | Result |
|---|---|
| Newly founded | Neutral, every player can join |
| Leader aligns it with a House | Members of the opposing House are removed immediately |
| Neutral member in an aligned guild | Allowed |
| A member betrays their House | Removed automatically |
| The leader betrays their House | The whole guild reverts to neutral right away |
That last row is the detail most guides skip. If the leader switches sides, the whole group loses its alignment and with it its role as a guild in the Landsraad until it's aligned again. Since every character can only switch once, a move like that needs to be agreed on beforehand.
How to pick a House yourself and what a betrayal costs at each rank is covered in our guide to the best faction in Dune Awakening. If you play with friends, one simple rule saves trouble: pick your House together first, then found the guild and align it.
๐ What Your Guild Does in the Dune Awakening Landsraad
The Landsraad is Dune Awakening's endgame, where both Houses compete week after week for the council's favor. The guild's role in it is clearly split:
- Only aligned guilds compete as a guild for their House. A guild isn't required for your personal progress, though: in its Update 1.5 announcement, Funcom explicitly heads that section "an endgame that doesn't demand a guild".
- Personal rewards depend on your own contribution, not on the total of all members. According to the community wiki, the five tiers per House range from 700 to 14,000 points; these values aren't officially confirmed.
- Voting power is earned by the guild through Landsraad missions.
- Decrees are chosen by the leader only: if your House wins the week, the leaders on the winning side vote on one of three decrees, weighted by their guild's voting power.
The Landsraad has been built around missions since Chapter 3 (Update 1.3, February 3, 2026); Funcom's Update 1.5 announcement sums up that rebuild again. You progress through twenty ranks up to Atreides Envoy or Harkonnen Enforcer. Funcom says the endgame can now be competed in without fighting another player. The weekly cycle with the Sysselraad and decrees is explained in our Landsraad guide.
๐บ๏ธ Shared Base: Sub-Fief Console and Access Levels
In Dune Awakening, a base always belongs to one character, not to the guild. It's built around the Sub-Fief Console, which claims a plot of land for building. According to the game-data database dune.gaming.tools it costs 25 Salvaged Metal. If you use an Advanced Sub-Fief, you also pay taxes to the Siridar-Governor.
At the console you add other players to a permissions list and assign them a role. There are three: Owner (you), Co-Owner and Associate. Players you add start as Associate, and you can promote them to Co-Owner or demote them again. Only the Owner can change permissions.
Separately, every object has its own access level. You set it for consoles, doors, machines and containers in the general settings:
| Level | Name | Who can enter or use it? |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Public | Everyone |
| 2 | Guild | All members of your guild |
| 3 | Associate | Associates, Co-Owners and the Owner |
| 4 | Co-Owner | Co-Owners and the Owner |
| 5 | Owner | Only you |
The names come from community wikis and guides. That higher roles also cover the lower levels is our reading of the tiers, not an official description. Two rules are stated explicitly: only the Owner can remove or move the Sub-Fief Console, whatever level is set. And vehicles don't use access levels at all. There, you give individual friends rights through the key icon.
Practical tip: set shared storage and workbenches to level 2, your personal chest to level 5, and add only two or three people you trust as Co-Owners. According to player reports, anyone who should build needs to be on the console's list; guild membership alone isn't enough. Location, power and water are covered in our base building guide.
๐ง Guilds in Single-Player Mode
In single-player mode, which Funcom officially calls "Single-Player", there are no other players. The Landsraad still runs: according to the official Update 1.5 patch notes, the Landsraad simulates other guilds so the competition keeps moving without real players taking part.
What that means for your own guild in Dune Awakening, Funcom doesn't document. No official source says whether you need to found one solo to vote on decrees or whether the game simulates that vote as well. What's certain: contracts, ranks and your House side stay in place when you play alone. Everything else about the mode is in our Dune Awakening single-player guide.
๐ก Tips for New Guilds in Dune Awakening
- House first, alignment second: align before everyone has chosen, and members of the other side get kicked out instantly.
- Name a deputy: base taxes and power need someone responsible, or the base decays. Add at least one other person as Co-Owner.
- Only betray by agreement: if the leader switches Houses, the whole group goes back to neutral.
- Avoid level 1: on a PvP server, Public really means everyone.

โ FAQ: Dune Awakening Guild
How much does it cost to create a guild?
1,000 Solari. The community wiki and several guides agree on that amount. There's no official number from Funcom.
How many players fit in a guild?
32, according to a Mein-MMO report from 2025. You can see the current limit next to the open slots in the guild tab.
Does a guild have to belong to a House?
No. In Dune Awakening it starts neutral. For the guild to compete for a House in the Landsraad, though, the leader has to align it with Atreides or Harkonnen. According to Funcom's Update 1.5 announcement, your own Landsraad missions and ranks don't need a guild.
Can I play with friends from the other House?
Not in the same aligned guild. A neutral guild is open to both sides, but then it doesn't compete as a guild in the Landsraad.
Who can build in my base?
According to player reports, you control that at the Sub-Fief Console through the Associate and Co-Owner roles. The Guild access level only decides who can use objects or open doors.
Do I even need a guild when playing solo?
Not necessarily: according to Funcom's Update 1.5 announcement, the endgame doesn't demand a guild. On public servers a one-person guild can still be useful, for example for the Guild access level at your base. In single-player mode the game simulates the other participants, and Funcom hasn't published details.

Checked against the official patch notes and announcement for Update 1.5 (September 17, 2026), the community wiki awakening.wiki and the game-data database dune.gaming.tools (Sub-Fief Console cost). The English role names Owner, Co-Owner and Associate come from English community guides. Founding cost, menu path, member cap, access levels and roles are community information and not officially documented by Funcom. That building requires an entry at the console is based on player reports.
As of October 11, 2026: the current build is Hotfix 1.5.3.7 from October 9, 2026. Its notes (two fixes for players getting stuck in Arrakeen and Harko Village) and those of Hotfix 1.5.3.6 (BattlEye option for single-player and private servers, stability, Ornithopter spawn and autosave fixes) don't change anything about guilds, the Landsraad or base permissions.
