Conan Exiles Unnamed City Guide 2026: Bosses, Dragonhorn and Fragments of Power
The Conan Exiles Unnamed City is the central endgame farming spot in the Exiled Lands. According to the community wiki, it holds seven special bosses, hidden chests with Fragments of Power, repair kits for legendary gear and more than one dragon.
This guide covers what waits for you in the Conan Exiles Unnamed City, how the fragment system works and how to prepare so you don't keep dying at the gate.
๐บ๏ธ What is the Unnamed City?
The Conan Exiles Unnamed City sits in the Exiled Lands, around grid square D6 according to the GamerGuides database. It is a pure endgame zone: the usual recommendation is level 50 or higher plus solid gear.
The red sky is mostly atmosphere and a landmark you can spot from far away. There is no documented environmental damage tied to it. The real danger is the enemies: undead guardians, demons and dragons, some of them with five-digit health pools.
โ๏ธ Bosses in the Conan Exiles Unnamed City
The community wiki on Fandom lists seven special bosses in the Conan Exiles Unnamed City. Each one is guaranteed to drop a Fragment of Power plus a legendary repair kit (Legendary Weapon Repair Kit or Legendary Armor Patch Kit), with a chance at legendary items on top. The GamerGuides database also counts two dragons at the edge of the city:
| Boss | Type | Notable drop |
|---|---|---|
| Guardian of the Flame | Giant skeleton with a star metal sword (14,867 HP) | Fragment + repair kit |
| The Commander | Skeleton (two-handed sword) | Fragment + repair kit |
| The Watcher | Skeleton (two-handed hammer) | Fragment + repair kit |
| The Gravewalker | Giant wight | Fragment + repair kit |
| Winged Death | Demon bat | Fragment + repair kit |
| The Red Mother | Huge red dragon (18,717 HP) | Fragment + repair kit |
| The Brute | Skeletal Serpentman | Fragment + repair kit |
| Green Dragon | Green dragon (southwest end of the city) | only listed by GamerGuides, not a special boss in the community wiki |
| Red Dragon | Red dragon (northeast entrance) | only listed by GamerGuides, not a special boss in the community wiki |
About drop chances: The community wiki works per loot pool. The smaller the pool, the better your odds at a specific legendary item: The Brute 25 percent per item (4 items), Winged Death 20 percent (5), The Red Mother 12.5 percent (8). The three skeleton warriors and The Gravewalker share an undead pool of 23 items at 4.35 percent each.
If you are after one specific legendary item, start with the bosses that have small pools. Every special boss gives you a Fragment of Power and a repair kit anyway. These values come from the community wiki and are not confirmed by Funcom.
๐ง Relic Hunter mini-bosses
Besides the special bosses of the Conan Exiles Unnamed City, the community wiki lists eight human Relic Hunter mini-bosses, among them Brandt of Zingara, Enia the Searcher and Hat'She the Mad. According to the wiki, each drops a Heart of a Hero and sometimes a Legendary Weapon Repair Kit or Legendary Armor Patch Kit. The wiki's Heart of a Hero page names boss creatures in the Unnamed City in general as the source.
Since patch 2.0.0 there is also a repair station for legendary gear in the Cyclopean Halls dungeon beneath the city, paid with Legendary Fragments. The details are in our guide to legendary repair and in the Cyclopean Halls guide.
๐ฆ Fragments of Power: chests and how to use them
Fragments of Power are the actual farming currency of the Conan Exiles Unnamed City. On top of the bosses, community guides count around 17 hidden chests across the area (other guides say "a dozen or so"). These chests only have a spawn chance of roughly 30% after a server restart, according to the community, and they respawn several hours after being looted (numbers between 4 and 12 hours get quoted). So you will rarely find all of them at once.
๐ Turning in fragments
You turn fragments in beneath the city in the Archives, at the Library of Esoteric Artifacts. The system is random: every fragment you hand in unlocks a random recipe. According to the GamerGuides database there are no duplicates, because recipes you already know drop out of the pool. Community guides also name two fixed turn-ins, which are not officially confirmed:
- 5 fragments for the weapon oil recipes, which give you temporary damage buffs.
- 1 fragment for the Expert Mountaineer knowledge, which covers the reinforced climbing boots and gloves.
For unlocking every feat, community guides quote roughly 176 fragments. That number comes from fan sources and is not confirmed by Funcom, but it works as a rough idea of the grind.
โจ Dragonhorn and Dragonbone weapons
According to the wiki, you harvest Dragonhorn and Undead Dragonbone from certain creatures. Which dragons in the Conan Exiles Unnamed City give them is not covered by the sources we checked. The GamerGuides database, for example, only lists a fragment and a repair kit for the Red Mother.
According to GamerGuides, you learn the Dragonbone weapon and armor recipes at a stone tablet next to the Undead Dragon at the bottom of the Sinkhole (grid square H6), so not inside the Unnamed City. The recipes according to the wiki:
| Station | Recipe | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Blacksmith's Bench | 1 Weapon Handle + 1 Dragonhorn + 5 Undead Dragonbone | Dragonbone Daggers |
| Blacksmith's Bench | 1 Weapon Handle + 1 Dragonhorn + 10 Undead Dragonbone | Dragonbone Maul, Spear, Sword, Two-Handed Sword, War Axe |
| Carpenter's Bench | 1 Sturdy String + 1 Dragonhorn + 10 Undead Dragonbone | Dragonbone Bow |
| Thaumaturgy Bench | 5 Dragonhorn + 30 Demon Blood + 1 Sorcerous Spell Page (the Tome of Kurak is not consumed) | Tome of Kurak upgrade (per the wiki; whether these costs still apply after the December 2025 sorcery rework is not confirmed) |
The takeaway: every Dragonbone weapon costs exactly one Dragonhorn. Only the amount of Undead Dragonbone changes (5 for daggers, 10 for everything else). Plan your farming runs around that.
