⚔️ Why the right thrall makes such a difference

Not all tier 4 fighters are equal. Every thrall has its own base stats (health, Strength, Vitality), its own damage multiplier and, the part most players miss, its own growth multipliers that decide how much it gains per level. Two named fighters from the same camp can perform completely differently at level 20.

Authority 20 from your build multiplies all of this. Your perks push the damage and survivability of your followers a long way. A good thrall becomes very good. A mediocre one stays mediocre. The base has to be right.

Dalinsia Snowhunter: the safe bet

The best-known fighter in the game and still the top choice for many players. Dalinsia starts with the highest base HP among regular fighters and hits hard. She is not a guaranteed spawn. At the Mounds of the Dead you may need several attempts before she shows up. The solo spawn point at Stargazer's Crest is the easier farming route, because you don't have half the Forgotten Tribe camp on your back there.

💡 Admin tip for single-player: The admin command TeleportPlayer -236023 -113591 -2791 puts you right at her spawn area in the Mounds of the Dead. Handy for checking whether she is there.

Cimmerian Berserker: the damage king

The Berserker also lives with the Forgotten Tribe. He starts with Strength 15 and Vitality 30 and brings a melee multiplier of 2.239, which puts him among the hardest hitters in the game. He has less of an HP cushion than Dalinsia, but enemies die before they get dangerous. Give him a two-handed weapon and he is the best pick if you want to cut boss fights short.

Relic Hunter Treasure Seeker: the late-game winner

The insider tip from the Unnamed City. At level 0 the Treasure Seeker looks weaker than Dalinsia, but his growth multipliers (about 1.68 for HP growth) are the best among fighters you can capture freely. The result: at high levels he pulls ahead of Dalinsia. If you plan to take your thrall to level 20 anyway, this is the strongest long-term companion.

Each of the five small camps in the Unnamed City has a miniboss, so bring enough healing yourself. Watch the trip home: dragging an unconscious thrall from the city back to your Wheel of Pain is a long walk. A wheel placed right at the edge of the city saves a lot of hassle.

💡 A timing data point: A named tier 4 thrall needs 3,600 seconds (1 hour) on the wheel without help. Put a named Taskmaster on the wheel and the time drops to 1,440 seconds (24 minutes), a 150% speed bonus. 🧪 Leveling: food steers the stats

While leveling, the food in a thrall's inventory influences which attributes are more likely to rise on a level-up. As long as food is active, the thrall also gets a damage or regeneration bonus:

Gruel is almost free: 5 Plant Fiber and 1 Seed give ten portions at a campfire. Level your thrall on world bosses and in dungeons you're running with your Authority build anyway. The XP still flows when the thrall gets the kills.

✨ Synergy with the Authority build

Here is how to get the most out of Authority 20 / Vitality 20:

• Capstone choice at 20: War Party (one extra active follower) is the alternative to Well Trained. Keep the catch in mind: with War Party, your own stats no longer boost your followers' damage. For PvE with two well-leveled fighters it is often still worth it.
• You're the conductor: One-handed weapon plus shield for you, manage aggro while the thrall deals the damage. Your own damage is secondary.
