Conan Exiles Cyclopean Halls Guide: Legendary Fragments and the Real Farming Math

The Conan Exiles Cyclopean Halls are the endgame dungeon of Conan Exiles Enhanced that Funcom opened beneath the Unnamed City with patch 2.0.0 on July 21, 2026. You descend, collect Legendary Fragments and can finally repair legendary weapons and armor again. The often-quoted number comes from launch week: according to player reports, one run only gave two fragments, while one repair cost five. That's roughly three runs per item. Hotfix 2.0.2 raised fragment drops, without new values being published.

The Cyclopean Halls are part one of Legacy of the Giant-Kings, a free four-part story arc. Part two followed on October 6, 2026. This guide sums up what's confirmed about the dungeon, what players reported in the first weeks and where the effort pays off.

๐Ÿ—๏ธ What the Conan Exiles Cyclopean Halls are

The dungeon sits beneath the Unnamed City, a place most players have known for years. That's the trick: Funcom didn't build a new map section, it extended an existing region downward.

Inside you'll find large sacrificial chambers, narrow bridges over chasms and sprawling underground halls built from massive stone blocks. It's designed as a structured PvE challenge, not open-world combat: you fight through several arenas up to a final boss with multiple phases. An NPC called Akhamet introduces the story and sends you after the remains of the Giant-Kings.

This is endgame content. If you just hit level 60, invest in gear first. Our overviews of the best weapons and the best armor are the fastest way to get there.

โš’๏ธ Legendary repair: the honest math

The real reason the Cyclopean Halls matter to veterans: legendary repair is back. For years a worn-out legendary was usually lost. Now you can restore it again. The repair station is inside the dungeon itself, so you have to go in for every repair.

You pay with Legendary Fragments that you collect in the dungeon. And this is where the math gets uncomfortable:

ItemValue
Fragments per run2
Fragments per repair5
Runs per repaired item3 (with 1 fragment left over)
Runs for two items5

Important caveat: these numbers come from player reports in the first days. With hotfix 2.0.2 on July 28, 2026, Funcom explicitly raised the drop rates for Legendary Fragments and armor from the boss, without publishing new values. So expect fewer than three runs per repair. The hotfix also fixed bosses sometimes not spawning at all in single-player and co-op. Since patch 3.0.0 on October 6, 2026 there's a second source as well: according to the patch notes, legendary items can now be dismantled at the dismantling bench for legendary fragments.

That's the point the community argued about until then: three full dungeon runs for a single repair. Many players reported it was faster to farm keys and open chests in the Unnamed City than to restore an existing legendary. Do the math yourself before you set aside three evenings. If you could replace the item anyway, farming is often cheaper. Repairs are still worth it for pieces with rare stats you can't easily replace.

๐Ÿฉธ Five traps that cost you progress

Feedback in the official Funcom forum shows five recurring problems. Know them and you skip your first frustrating run:

  • Death means starting over. If you die in the dungeon, you respawn at the entrance. Your corpse and your progress in that run are gone. Don't bring anything you can't afford to lose.
  • Boss HP resets, thrall HP doesn't. On your second attempt the boss is back to full health, your battered follower isn't. Every further attempt gets harder, not easier.
  • Thralls get stuck. Followers often don't follow you into boss rooms two and three. Plan those phases as if you were fighting alone.
  • No signposting. The layout is large and maze-like with no real navigation help. Your first run is for exploring, not farming.
  • The "give all" function skips fragments. Funcom listed in the known issues for patch 2.0.0 and still for patch 2.1.0 (August 18, 2026) that it doesn't transfer Legendary Fragments. The known issues for patch 3.0.0 no longer list it, but the patch notes don't mention an explicit fix, so move them by hand to be safe, or you'll think you lost them.

๐Ÿ“ฆ What to bring

According to player reports the final boss hits hard and fast, with few but very high-damage attacks. Miss a dodge roll and you're down. That calls for clear preparation:

  • Enough stamina and agility for several dodge rolls in a row. How to spend your points sensibly is in our attributes guide.
  • Healing food and bandages on your hotbar, not buried somewhere in your inventory.
  • A sturdy follower for the early sections, but don't count on it in the later boss rooms. Recommendations are in our list of the best fighter thralls.
  • Only the essentials in your bags, since your corpse is lost on death.

โœจ How Legacy of the Giant-Kings continues

Funcom announced four parts released over several months. Part one brought the dungeon and legendary repair. Part two arrived on October 6, 2026 and, according to the release coverage, adds rifts spreading across the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah, with new enemies, materials and four new spells to learn. Parts three and four are still to come. The arc is free and part of Conan Exiles Enhanced.

For you this means: run the Cyclopean Halls once completely and learn the route. The story picks up from Akhamet and the Halls, so knowing the layout saves you time later.

๐Ÿ”Ž What's confirmed and what isn't

So you know what you're relying on: the July 21, 2026 release, the location beneath the Unnamed City, the NPC Akhamet, the four-part structure and the return of legendary repair come from Funcom's own announcement and the 2.0.0 patch notes.

The numbers for fragments per run and per repair, plus the five traps, come from player reports in the official Funcom forum (early August 2026). Funcom never published them as values and can adjust them at any time.

๐Ÿ’ก Conan Exiles Cyclopean Halls FAQ

Where is the entrance to the Cyclopean Halls?

The dungeon is beneath the Unnamed City in the Exiled Lands. You descend from there. No new map section was added.

Does Legacy of the Giant-Kings cost anything?

No. The four-part story arc is a free update for Conan Exiles Enhanced.

How do I repair legendary weapons again?

At the repair station in the Cyclopean Halls, paid with Legendary Fragments from the dungeon. According to launch-week player reports one repair cost five fragments, and a run gave two before hotfix 2.0.2 raised the drop rate. Other fragment sources are covered in our legendary repair guide.

Is the dungeon worth farming?

For rare pieces with stats you can't replace: yes. For ordinary legendaries, many players reported before hotfix 2.0.2 that farming keys and opening chests was faster than three runs for one repair.

Can I solo the dungeon?

Yes, but plan the late boss phases without a follower, since thralls often don't follow you into the back boss rooms. If no boss showed up at all for you: that was a bug Funcom fixed with hotfix 2.0.2 on July 28, 2026.

As of October 11, 2026 (Conan Exiles Enhanced, patch 3.0.0 with hotfix 3.0.1): release, content and legendary repair were checked against Funcom's official announcement and the 2.0.0 patch notes; farming values against feedback in the official Funcom forum. Part two's release date and content come from hosting-partner and press coverage; dismantling legendary items for fragments is in the 3.0.0 patch notes. We did not check whether patches 2.1.0 (August 18) and 2.1.1 (August 26, 2026) or part two changed fragment costs or drop rates. More guides on the Conan Exiles hub.
