Warframe Dante 2026: Abilities, How to Farm Him and the Twitch Drop in Review
Warframe Dante was an official Twitch drop for the Summer Game Fest on June 5, 2026. The promotion is over, but you can still farm Dante on Deimos or buy him from Loid for Vessel Capillaries. This guide looks back at the drop and explains Dante's abilities and how to farm him.
This article started as a preview of the Twitch drop with its own build. When we checked it in October 2026, several claims about his abilities turned out to be wrong. They've been corrected against the community-run wiki at wiki.warframe.com.
Looking back: the Twitch drop from June 5, 2026
According to Digital Extremes' Summer Game Fest 2026 news post on warframe.com, Dante was an official Twitch drop. The conditions:
- Date: June 5, 2026, from 5 PM ET.
- Watch time: at least 30 minutes on Twitch, on the linked thegameawards channel.
- Requirement: linked Warframe and Twitch accounts.
An earlier version of this article also listed an Orokin Reactor and a Warframe slot as part of the drop. The official post doesn't say that, so it's been removed.
Who is Dante?
Per the community wiki, Dante arrived with Update 35.5 “Dante Unbound” on March 27, 2024. That makes him the 56th unique Warframe, not the 64th as this article used to say. His trademark is the Noctua, a floating tome that counts as an Exalted Weapon.
Warframe Dante abilities, per the community wiki
Passive: scanning with Noctua
Noctua scans enemies for your Codex. Against fully scanned enemies, Dante gets +50 percent Status Chance. The old version claimed a damage bonus here, which was wrong.
1. Noctua
Dante summons his tome. It scans enemies, its attacks bounce from target to target, and its alternate fire throws a wide projectile.
2. Light Verse
Light Verse grants Dante and his allies Overguard. It's the support part of his kit.
3. Dark Verse
Dark Verse hits enemies with Slash damage and sets up his strongest finisher.
4. Final Verse
Final Verse combines the Light and Dark Verses you've cast into one of four effects:
- Triumph: Overguard on kills.
- Tragedy: a damage wave that detonates active Slash, Heat and Toxin status effects.
- Wordwarden: a Noctua companion for Dante and allies that provides fire support.
- Pageflight: invulnerable Paragrimms that make enemies more vulnerable to status.
The game shows you which Verse sequence triggers which effect as you cast. The combinations and percentages this article used to list couldn't be confirmed, so they're gone. Tragedy, by the way, isn't a separate first ability. It's one of the Final Verses.
How to farm Warframe Dante
Per the community wiki, there are two ways to get Dante:
- Drop: The blueprints drop from Rotation C of the Disruption mission Armatus on Deimos, at 7.5 percent per rotation. You need the quests “The Deadlock Protocol” and “Whispers in the Walls.”
- Buy from Loid: In the Sanctum Anatomica, you trade Vessel Capillaries for the blueprints. Each component costs 90, the main blueprint 270, and the full set 540 Vessel Capillaries.
Per the wiki, Demolishers in the Armatus Disruption drop 2 to 4 Vessel Capillaries, or 5 to 7 on the Steel Path. The Steel Path is covered in our Steel Path beginner's guide.
In the Market, Warframe Dante costs 350 platinum per the wiki, and the blueprints aren't sold there. How to earn platinum without real money is in our Warframe platinum farming guide.
Build approach for Dante
The old build in this article relied on wrong ability descriptions, including a supposed doubling of Noctua's Heat damage through Archon Vitality. It's been removed.
The basic idea: Overguard from Light Verse and Triumph benefits from Ability Strength, and Tragedy feeds on Slash, Heat or Toxin status you've built up beforehand. If you play Dante as support, go for Strength and Range. If you want damage, pair Dark Verse with Tragedy. That's our take, not an official build. Mod capacity and polarity basics are in our mod capacity guide for beginners.
