Warframe Sirius and Orion: Abilities, Constellation Stars and Build Guide 2026

Update 43, Jade Shadows: Constellations, brought the 65th Warframe on June 17, 2026, and it's something Warframe hadn't done in over a decade: a dual Warframe. Warframe Sirius and Orion are two characters in one frame, and you can swap between them mid-fight. Sirius stands for light and Heat, Orion for darkness, gravity and armor stripping.

This guide covers both ability sets, the Constellation Stars system, how to play the frame and how to unlock it completely for free.

Note: This guide was written shortly before release. In October 2026 we checked it against the official Update 43 patch notes and updated it.

Sirius and Orion: why a dual Warframe?

Instead of two separate frames, you get one Warframe with two complete personalities. At the press of a button you switch between Sirius (light aspect: Heat damage, healing and support) and Orion (dark aspect: Slash damage, shield and armor stripping, gravity control). Each has its own three abilities, and they share the fourth. The result is a frame that can switch between offense, crowd control and team support without changing loadouts.

The passive: Constellation Stars and swap efficiency

The passive is the heart of Warframe Sirius and Orion, and it defines the whole frame:

  • Swap bonus: Every time you switch between Sirius and Orion, you get 45 percent Ability Efficiency for the next 2 casts. If you keep swapping, you save energy all the time.
  • Constellation Stars: Every cast creates a Constellation Star. Per the patch notes, Sirius makes round ones and Orion diamond-shaped ones. The key limit: only two stars of the same color can be generated in a row. That forces you to change colors, and with it aspects, which fits the efficiency bonus perfectly. These stars are the ammo for the ultimate, Celestial Clash.

In other words, the frame rewards active swapping twice: with cheaper casts and with a full stock of stars for the ultimate.

Sirius: the light aspect (Heat, support)

AbilityEffect
1: Coronal EjectionThrows Sirius' jade-lit scythe forward, deals Heat damage and collects every pickup along the way.
2: Jade StarsSummons motes of jade light that regenerate over time. When you attack enemies, the motes fire off and deal Heat damage.
3: Light's SanctuaryCreates a healing dome with Damage Reduction. Allies who go down inside it get revived, with a cooldown, per the community wiki.
4: Celestial ClashShared ultimate of both aspects (details below).

Orion: the dark aspect (Slash, gravity, armor strip)

AbilityEffect
1: Gravitic SlashKnocks enemies back with Orion's dark scythe, deals Slash damage and strips Shields and Armor. It's the frame's main armor strip tool.
2: Astral ShellWraps Orion in an astral shell. When he takes damage, it becomes a decoy that draws enemy fire until it's destroyed.
3: Event HorizonForms a drifting black hole that holds enemies in its gravity. Per the patch notes, hitting it with Gravitic Slash pushes it away from Orion, and Coronal Ejection pulls it toward Sirius. Both extend its duration.
4: Celestial ClashShared ultimate of both aspects (details below).

Celestial Clash: the shared ultimate

Both aspects lead into the same fourth ability. It's the reason you collect Constellation Stars during a fight:

  • Sirius and Orion rise into a cosmic duel. Every impact creates a shockwave with massive radial damage.
  • The attacks consume your Constellation Stars. If the star's color matches the Warframe's color, you get increased Critical Chance, per the patch notes.
  • Controls, per the patch notes: left-click triggers Sirius, right-click triggers Orion.

This is where the passive pays off directly. If you swapped consistently beforehand, you go into the ultimate with both star colors and can match every hit. That's the key to maximum damage.

Playstyle and build strategy

The following points are our take based on how the kit works, not an official build:

  • Swap actively instead of staying in one aspect. The frame is built for it: the star limit forces color changes anyway and rewards them with efficiency. If you camp in one aspect, you leave half the frame's power on the table.
  • Ability Strength is likely the core stat. It scales Heat and Slash damage, the healing from Light's Sanctuary and probably the punch of Celestial Clash.
  • Range matters for Event Horizon and the healing dome, Duration for Astral Shell and the motes. Expect the usual Strength, Range and Duration trade-offs.
  • Armor strip role: With Gravitic Slash stripping shields and armor, the frame can seriously support squads against Grineer and Corpus. That's a reason not to see it only as a solo DPS frame.

The frame's signature weapons are two Heavy Scythes: Pride (Sirius) and Wrath (Orion). Per the patch notes, slam attacks with Pride give 15 percent Status Chance per enemy hit for 10 seconds, and with Wrath 15 percent Critical Chance, each stacking up to ten times. According to the community wiki, they don't have a Signature Weapon bonus with the twins.

How do I get Warframe Sirius and Orion?

The good news: completely free, no purchase needed. It takes two steps:

  1. Complete the quest “Jade Shadows: Constellations.” Per the patch notes, it rewards the main blueprint. It requires the original “Jade Shadows” quest. The quest also opens the Railjack content in Uranus Proxima. In a squad, you fly Vena's or Ryoku's Railjack there. Solo, you can use your own if you board from Pontis Tower.
  2. Farm the components. The Sirius and Orion component blueprints are tied to the new post-quest Railjack content in Uranus Proxima. Per the patch notes, they drop in The Kuva Wytch and Scoria's Angel. Alternatively, you buy them in the Pontis Tower hub for Emerald or Crimson Talents, 545 Talents for the full set per the community wiki.

If you'd rather skip the grind, you can also get Sirius and Orion (or the bundle with helmets, signature weapons and Syandanas) for platinum in the Market. If you still need platinum for that, our Warframe platinum farming guide helps.

What else is in the update

  • Styanax Prime launched the same day in Prime Access, also free to earn through Void Relics, along with Afentis Prime (speargun) and Athodai Prime (pistol). Relic farming is covered in our Void Relics guide.
  • New Railjack content: Uranus Proxima with the Pontis Tower hub, plus Steel Path for Railjack missions, per the patch notes with a reduced modifier of +50 enemy levels instead of +100.
  • Nidus retouch: per the patch notes, health went from 555 to 675 (Nidus Prime from 650 to 825), with doubled health regeneration and reworked abilities.
  • Five new Incarnon Genesis weapons (Stug, Vectis, Ballistica, Destreza and Obex) and four new Warframe Augment mods. More in our Incarnon Genesis guide.

The full overview of the update is in our Jade Shadows Constellations recap.

FAQ about Warframe Sirius and Orion

When did Warframe Sirius and Orion come out?
On June 17, 2026 with Update 43 Jade Shadows: Constellations, as the 65th Warframe and the first dual frame.

How do I unlock Sirius and Orion for free?
The quest “Jade Shadows: Constellations” gives the main blueprint. You then farm the components in the Uranus Proxima Railjack missions or buy them for Talents in Pontis Tower.

What makes the frame special?
It's a dual Warframe: Sirius (light, Heat, support) and Orion (darkness, Slash, gravity) share one frame and you switch at the press of a button. The Constellation Stars system feeds the shared ultimate, Celestial Clash.

Do I need my own Railjack?
Not necessarily. In a squad, you fly Vena's or Ryoku's Railjack, per the patch notes. Solo, you can use your own if you board from Pontis Tower.

Bottom line

Sirius and Orion is the most ambitious frame design in a long time: two movesets, a star resource system and an ultimate that ties both together. Once you've got the swapping down, you get a very flexible all-rounder between DPS, armor strip and support. Since the frame is free to earn, it's worth it for any Tenno who meets the quest requirements.
