Soulframe New Weapons from Preludes 15: Veilk, Ilverac and Vrusht-IX

With Preludes 15: Gods and Ghosts, released for free on PC by Digital Extremes on June 10, 2026, three new weapons arrived alongside the loot rework and player trading: Veilk, Ilverac and Vrusht-IX. This guide to the Soulframe new weapons from Preludes 15 covers type, stats, Virtue and drop sources. The current game version is Preludes 16.

๐Ÿช“ The three Soulframe new weapons at a glance

All three are Ode'n weapons, rated 2-Star by the community-run wiki at wiki.avakot.org, and scale with three pips of Courage. Digital Extremes publishes no official stat tables, so the numbers below come from Avakot.

WeaponTypeAttack (rank 0 / 30)Stagger (0 / 30)SmiteRequirement
VeilkPolearm (poleaxe), Sharp59 / 11360 / 1201 in 20 (5%)13 Courage
IlveracLong Blade, Sharp52 / 10634 / 942 in 25 (8%)12 Courage
Vrusht-IXHeavy (mace), Blunt63 / 11760 / 1202 in 25 (8%)18 Courage

If your Courage is below the requirement, you get no bonus from attunement. How the Virtues work together is in the Virtues guide.

๐Ÿ—ก๏ธ Veilk: the axe in the Polearm family

Veilk was introduced in the devstream as Soulframe's first axe. In game it isn't its own weapon category: per the Devstream 15 overview it is a new moveset within the Polearm family. Avakot lists it as a poleaxe carried by Sinecure axe knights.

Like other polearms, Veilk has throw values: 89 damage at rank 0, and a perfect throw deals 177. With 60 to 120 stagger it breaks enemy guards quickly. A build around Veilk is in the Polearm build guide.

๐Ÿ—ก๏ธ Ilverac: the Ode'n long blade

Ilverac is an Ode'n longsword wielded by Sinecure Elite Soldiers, according to Avakot. Long blades revolve around Riposte after a perfect parry and Spectre Strike after a perfect dodge.

Ilverac has the lowest requirement of the three (12 Courage) and a good 8 percent Smite chance. In exchange its stagger is lower. Possible Tempers include the Ode'n Tempers Bypass, Galvanic Strike and Slinger's Tempo, per Avakot.

๐Ÿ”จ Vrusht-IX: the mace with a lightning strike

Vrusht-IX is a heavy Ode'n mace carried by Sinecure Elite Mace Soldiers. Its special trait: a charged throw triggers a lightning strike at the point of impact, per Avakot, dealing extra Voltaic damage and stagger in a small area.

At 18 Courage it has the highest requirement, but also the highest base damage of the three. Since Preludes 16, heavy attacks deal much more stagger according to the patch notes, and Vrusht-IX benefits from that more than most.

๐Ÿ”— Where the Soulframe new weapons drop

Since Preludes 15 weapons drop fully built with random Craftwork and Tempers. You can see them in the preview before you pick them up. Per Avakot the three weapons drop here:

  • Veilk: Sinecure Knights and Officers, Ichorous Wardogs, the Agari Discharged Nimrod, Gruul-Seeker Sontaro and Sinecure-errant Gawth, plus Ode'n Weapon Racks and Buried Banneret Chests in Rovgot. At the Wares of Zenith it costs 150 Arcs.
  • Ilverac: Sinecure Elite Soldiers and Officers, the Agari Gruul-Seeker Ruthos, Sontaro, Sinecure-errant Gawth and Vella, Ode'n Weapon Racks and Buried Banneret Chests.
  • Vrusht-IX: many Sinecure soldiers and knights, Heavy Torch Soldiers, Messengers, Ichorous Wardogs, Ode'n Weapon Racks and Buried Banneret Chests.

The Agari also drop their loot in their Cogah variants. Where the Agari are is shown in the world bosses guide. How Craftwork and Tempers work is explained in the Tempers guide.

โš’๏ธ Reforging with Joineries

If you want to add pips in another Virtue to a weapon that dropped, reforge it with a Joinery at Tuvalkane. Verite and Gildaur fit all three melee weapons. For Veilk, Avakot lists 20 Corrupt Onyx, 20 Scrap Steel, 20 Quenching Acid, the Joinery and 2,500 Dracs from Bond 2. The process is in the Joineries guide.

๐Ÿ’ก How the weapons fit the Totem rework

Preludes 15 also reworked the Totem system: Totems are now tied to the three Virtues and give stat bonuses plus buffs for Smite and runes. Since Preludes 16, Totems only work in the main hand according to the patch notes. There is no fixed mechanical link between the three weapons and specific Totems. Details in the Talismans and Totems guide.

โœจ Are the new Preludes 15 weapons worth it?

All three are solid Courage weapons for the mid game. Ilverac, with its low requirement and high Smite chance, suits parry players. Vrusht-IX brings the most damage and stagger but asks for 18 Courage. Veilk sits in between and is the only one you can buy directly at the Wares of Zenith.
