Soulframe World Bosses: All Locations and the Best Agari Farm Route
Soulframe world bosses are spread across the whole open world of Midrath and are some of the most rewarding targets in the current Preludes phase. They drop rare fragments and Joinery materials, and the respawning Agari also leave Agaric mushrooms for the Cogah elixir.
This guide shows where the most important world bosses are and which route lets you farm them back to back. Fast travel between the spots is deliberately not covered here. For that, see our Soulframe World Trees guide.
๐ฒ What are world bosses and Agari in Soulframe?
World bosses are fixed encounters spread across the map of Midrath, from named sub-bosses to big single enemies like the Rovgot Wyrm. Many of them are Agari. The community wiki on wiki.avakot.org describes them as their own class of sub-boss that respawns 30 minutes after death; while they're on cooldown, their map icon is greyed out.
Per the wiki, a defeated Agari leaves a ring of red mushrooms with an Agaric in the middle. Looting it gives you the Agari's loot, and the Agaric itself is an ingredient for the Cogah elixir. Under the elixir's effect, in the harder mode The Cogah, Agari also drop Runes, Lore Notes and the Cogah Talismans.
If you're brand new, take a quick look at the Soulframe beginner guide first. Knowing the combat system and your Pacts helps right away when farming bosses.
๐บ๏ธ All world boss locations at a glance
The table below collects the currently confirmed world boss and Agari locations in Midrath. Regions are given by compass direction from the center of the map.
| Boss | Location | Notes / drops |
|---|---|---|
| Kabocha | Wevetwood (south-central) | quick starting point for the farm route |
| Thrice-Bound Impidh | central Midrath | good stop while respawn timers run |
| Gruulseeker Ruthos | northeast Midrath | Agari with 30-minute respawn |
| Knell Knight | Galvinar Wastes (north/west) | Agari with 30-minute respawn |
| Sinecure-Errant Gawth | northwest Midrath | Agari with 30-minute respawn |
| Etheldred the Weaver | northwest Midrath | Agari with 30-minute respawn |
| Castellan Malrog | Fort Kearnhold | fortress boss, tougher than open-world Agari |
| Discharged Nimrod | southeast Midrath | Agari with 30-minute respawn |
| Rovgot Wyrm | Rovgot Ruins, Fallen Ode'n Skytowers (southeast) | splits up during the fight, weak to fire damage, Cenotaph fragments |
| Wraith of Wastes | Sidae's Stake (southwest) | source of Joinery and fragment materials |
| Mendicant King | southwest Midrath, summoned with a bell | bell summon instead of a passive spawn, longer world lockout possible |
| Mendicant Reinbreaker | southern Midrath (position not consistently documented) | playable Agari, beating him unlocks the Epithet "Destrier" |
A note on the Mendicant Reinbreaker: he is still a recent addition, so community sources don't all agree on his exact map position yet. Treat him as a bonus stop on your route and check his position in the game yourself instead of relying blindly on a fixed route.
๐ฉธ Rovgot Wyrm: the worm of the collapsing sky towers
The Rovgot Wyrm arrived with Preludes 14, together with the Fallen Ode'n Skytowers: collapsing, corrupted sky towers in the southeast of Midrath where you search the ruins of the old fortresses. The Wyrm burrows through the ground and strikes unpredictably from below.
During the fight it splits into several segments that you have to deal with one by one. It is weak to fire damage, which shortens the fight a lot with the right gear. Rewards include Dracs, Eye of Weaver, Ichor, Nettle and Cenotaph fragments.
โจ Mendicant Reinbreaker: playable Agari, not part of Warsongs
According to the Preludes 16 patch notes, the Mendicant Reinbreaker is playable. He is an Agari, beating him unlocks the Epithet "Destrier" for legendary weapons, and a bug where he died in mid-air is fixed. He is not part of the announced "Warsongs" update.
Community sources describe the fight as a mounted duel. A tamed mount as a reward is not confirmed, and according to Digital Extremes riding only comes with a later update. Unlike Kabocha or the Rovgot Wyrm, there is no spawn location yet that matches across several sources.
๐ What Preludes 16 changes for world boss farmers
The Preludes 16 patch notes contain several points that directly affect your route:
- Agari give more XP.
- After you defeat an Agari, enemy level goes up by 4.
- Enemy Life scaling above level 30 is higher.
- Vadagar Agari fade more slowly at dusk.
- Garren Rood and the Vadagar Stag use unblockable attacks, and Lady Deora has more Life in the Torment Stag.
- Beating world bosses under the Cogah unlocks Epithets, for example "Carver" for Kabocha, "Regencide" for the Mendicant King or "Wraith Waster" for Wraith of Wastes.
๐ฉธ Efficient Agari farm route
Agari respawn 30 minutes after death, so the best approach is a loop that covers one boss's downtime with the walk to the next, instead of waiting at the spawn point. This order works well:
- Kabocha (Wevetwood) as a quick first kill
- Thrice-Bound Impidh (central Midrath) while the first respawn timer runs
- Wraith of Wastes (Sidae's Stake) for Joinery material
- A swing past Fort Kearnhold (Castellan Malrog) and on to the southeast for the Rovgot Wyrm
- Finish at the Mendicant King in the southwest once the bell can be rung
If you also want the northern and western Agari (Gruulseeker Ruthos, Knell Knight, Sinecure-Errant Gawth, Etheldred the Weaver), add them at the start of the route before heading south. That keeps the loop a clean circuit instead of a zigzag across the map.
๐ก Route tip: players have repeatedly reported a world lockout of up to an hour after killing the Mendicant King before he can be summoned again. Instead of waiting, switch to another world instance through your menu. In a fresh instance, players report that the bell works right away. This is a community observation, not an official mechanic.
๐ก Practical tips for farming world bosses
- For the Rovgot Wyrm, bring a weapon or rune with fire damage. It is explicitly weak to it.
- Use activated World Trees between stops to cut travel time instead of walking the whole route.
- Agari are your source of Agaric mushrooms, so if you're working toward the Cogah elixir, prioritize the Agari stops on the route.
- Never spend Agari downtime waiting. Always move straight on to the next stop.
โ Frequently Asked Questions about Soulframe World Bosses
What is the difference between a world boss and an Agari?
"World boss" is our umbrella term for every fixed boss encounter on the map. Agari, per the community wiki on wiki.avakot.org, are their own class of sub-boss that respawns 30 minutes after death. That's what makes them useful for a farm route, because you can fight them several times per session.
Where exactly is the Rovgot Wyrm?
In the Rovgot Ruins inside the Fallen Ode'n Skytowers in the southeast of Midrath, added with Preludes 14. Look for collapsing tower fragments as a visual sign that you're in the right place.
Can I reliably farm the Mendicant Reinbreaker yet?
The Preludes 16 patch notes say he is playable, but as a new boss his location data isn't as settled across sources as for older world bosses. For a reliable route, stick with the established stops and take him as a bonus.
Do I need fast travel points for the farm route?
Not strictly, but activated World Trees save a lot of time between stops that are far apart. Details are in the separate World Trees guide.
โ Bottom line
The key Soulframe world bosses sit in clearly separate regions of Midrath, from the Rovgot Wyrm in the collapsing sky towers in the southeast to the Mendicant Reinbreaker in the south. A loop that uses the 30-minute Agari respawns instead of letting them run out gets you far more loot per session than visiting bosses at random. Start with Kabocha, end at the Mendicant King, and only add the Reinbreaker once you've found him in your own world.
All Soulframe guides are on the Soulframe overview.
As of October 2026: Preludes 16 "Of Hook and Hound" with Hotfix 6. The Agari definition, respawn timer and Cogah loot come from the community wiki on wiki.avakot.org (there is no official Soulframe wiki). Changes to Agari and the Mendicant Reinbreaker were checked against the official Preludes 16 patch notes. The Mendicant King lockout and the instance switch are player reports. The Reinbreaker's exact position may still be refined.
