Graveyard Keeper 2 Fabric: Flax, Flax Thread and Deliveries

Graveyard Keeper 2 Fabric: Flax, Flax Thread and Deliveries

Graveyard Keeper 2 fabric takes two steps: the Spinning Wheel turns Flax into Flax Thread, then the Weaving Loom turns that thread into Fabric. A "Supply: Fabric" town order asks for four Fabric, and this guide shows how much Flax that really is.

Below you get the full Graveyard Keeper 2 fabric chain, the exact amounts from the game, the Flax cost of one delivery and a setup that keeps the supply running. Every amount was checked in the game.

๐Ÿงต Graveyard Keeper 2 Fabric: The Two-Step Chain

Production always runs through the same two stations. Raw Flax on its own does nothing for you. It has to be spun first and woven second.

2Weaving Loom4 Flax Thread1 Fabric

The ratio that matters is the one at the loom. One Fabric costs four Flax Thread. We read these numbers straight off the game, so your math for deliveries actually adds up.

๐Ÿ“ฆ How Much Flax Does a Fabric Delivery Cost?

The town order "Supply: Fabric" wants 4 Fabric. Work the chain backwards and you see the real cost:

  • 4 Fabric need 16 Flax Thread (4 thread per Fabric).
  • 16 Flax Thread need 16 Flax (the Spinning Wheel converts 1 to 1).

So one full fabric delivery costs you 16 Flax. A healthy flax field handles that easily. It only becomes predictable once you remember that every single Fabric eats four thread.

๐ŸŒพ Where the Flax Comes From

You grow Flax on garden beds. A bed takes four seeds and, with good growth, gives back six Flax plus six seeds and two Leaves. With a few beds and some fertilizer you're self-sufficient fast, because you get back more seeds than you plant.

If you keep running out of Flax anyway, it's almost always too few beds or no fertilizer, not the fabric chain. Two fertilizer slots per bed and a zombie gardener that plants and harvests on its own fix the supply problem for good. The details are in our Graveyard Keeper 2 fertilizer guide.

๐ŸงŸ Use Less Flax With the Tailor Perk

One zombie perk makes the whole chain more efficient: the Tailor. Its in-game description says the zombie handles fabric and yarn better, with fewer scraps and more finished pieces. In practice that means more output from the same Flax.

The perk sits in the zombie's Building talent tree and costs 100 red points, which the zombie earns itself while working. Keep in mind that it only works for the zombie that has it, and only at that zombie's station. For the full effect across the chain, give it to both your Spinning Wheel zombie and your Weaving Loom zombie.

๐ŸŽฏ What Else You Need Fabric For

Fabric and its intermediate product, Flax Thread, show up in several places in Graveyard Keeper 2:

  • Town orders: "Supply: Fabric" asks for 4 Fabric, which we read in the German version of the game.
  • Flax Thread on its own: according to the community database wikily.gg, candles at the Formulation Bench, fishing rods and the lace for Herm's third tier already need the thread.
  • Other recipes: we couldn't confirm where else Fabric gets used. When in doubt, check the recipe at the station itself.

That's why it makes sense to set up the Graveyard Keeper 2 fabric chain early and let it run, instead of starting it only when a specific order comes in. A small stockpile takes a lot of pressure off later.

โš ๏ธ Common Fabric Production Mistakes

Most fabric problems in Graveyard Keeper 2 come down to a handful of causes:

  • Underestimating thread: the loom needs four thread per Fabric. Plan with less and you won't have enough Flax for the delivery.
  • Expecting raw Flax to work: the Weaving Loom doesn't take raw Flax, only Flax Thread. The Spinning Wheel step is mandatory.
  • Too few beds: the bottleneck is nearly always the Flax supply, not processing. More beds solve it faster than any station tweak.
  • No supply for the zombies: without a Zombie Supplier Station, your zombie workers stop as soon as their input slot is empty.

๐Ÿ”„ Automate the Supply

Once fabric orders come in regularly, you don't want to start production by hand every time. Put one zombie on the Spinning Wheel and one on the Weaving Loom, and keep them stocked through a Zombie Supplier Station. The chain keeps running while you deal with other things.

This is what the long-term loop looks like:

  • A zombie gardener grows Flax on several beds.
  • The Spinning Wheel zombie turns it into Flax Thread.
  • The Weaving Loom zombie weaves the thread into Fabric.
  • You pack the Fabric into deliveries whenever an order shows up.

โ“ FAQ: Graveyard Keeper 2 Fabric

How much Flax Thread do I need for one Fabric?

Four. The Weaving Loom turns 4 Flax Thread into 1 Fabric.

How much Flax does a full fabric delivery cost?

Sixteen Flax. The order wants 4 Fabric, which is 16 Flax Thread and therefore 16 Flax.

Which stations make Fabric?

The Spinning Wheel makes Flax Thread from Flax, and the Weaving Loom makes Fabric from the thread. You need both steps.

How do I use less Flax?

Put the Tailor perk on the zombies at the Spinning Wheel and the Weaving Loom. It gets more finished pieces out of the same amount of Flax.

Why do I keep running out of Flax?

Usually it's too few beds or missing fertilizer, not the fabric chain. More beds, fertilizer and a zombie gardener keep the supply steady.

Checked against the German version of the game as of October 2026: all amounts in the fabric chain were read in-game. English item, station and order names follow the English community database wikily.gg.
