Enshrouded Scavenger Matron Helmet: Locations, Flame Level 3 and Trophies

The Scavenger Matron Helmet in Enshrouded isn't armor. It's an epic material that the Scavenger Matron drops every time she dies. You need one for Flame Level 3 and up to ten more for the four trophies the Hunter can craft.

This guide shows where she spawns, how the fight plays out and how many helmets you actually need for your Flame and your base. It's based on the game data from enshrouded.th.gl for version 1.0.

🪖 Helmet, head or armor? What the item really is

If you search for the Scavenger Matron Helmet, you might expect an armor set. There isn't one. The database lists the item under materials with epic rarity, and its description says she is less fearsome without her helmet. You can't wear it. It goes into your inventory like any other boss trophy and gets used up at the Flame Altar or by the Hunter.

The confusion has a reason. Older English guides and the community wiki's boss page still call the drop "Scavenger Matron Head". The current item is the Scavenger Matron Helmet. A trace of the old name even survives in the game: the description of the gold trophy talks about "heads", although the recipe asks for the helmet.

👑 Who the Scavenger Matron is

She's a boss of the Scavenger faction, which holds the first camps in the Springlands. The community wiki splits her into two variants. The Gorger throws poison in three directions, and the Grizzler calls in reinforcements.

Don't confuse her with the Scavenger Tyrant. That's a separate boss from the same faction with its own head drop and its own trophies. The Tyrant plays no part in strengthening the Flame.

📍 Where to farm the Scavenger Matron Helmet

The community wiki (as of May 2026) lists eight spots in four regions. Two of them are quest locations: the Hill of Scavengers and Glennwood's End.

⛺ Hill of Scavengers in the Springlands

The Hill of Scavengers is where almost everyone gets their first Scavenger Matron Helmet. According to the community wiki, it's northeast of the Ancient Spire. She waits in the camp, surrounded by her regular followers.

The Alchemist sends you here with "The Alchemist's Rumors". Once she's down, you unlock the Improved Grappling Hook. It costs 30 instead of 40 stamina per use, and you craft it at the Carpenter from a regular Grappling Hook plus Shroud materials, including 2 Shroud Liquid and 3 Shroud Spores. So this fight pays off twice.

🏰 Glennwood's End in Revelwood

According to the quest text, Glennwood's End is a large town in the wilds of Revelwood that her faction has taken over. The quest "A Crucial Investigation" leads you there and asks you to defeat the Scavenger Matron. According to the community wiki, Glennwood's End is in the far north of Revelwood.

⚔️ How the Scavenger Matron Helmet fight works

The community wiki only documents her two variants, so check during the fight which one you're facing:

• Gorger variant: throws poison in three directions toward her target. Keep moving and dodge sideways.
• Grizzler variant: calls in reinforcements. Deal with the helpers first before they surround you.

At the Hill of Scavengers, a trick from an English guide from October 2026 helps. Lure the small enemies out of the camp one by one, then take on the Matron alone. The same guide lists ice, slash and pierce damage as her weaknesses and level 5 as the minimum. Both are community figures we couldn't confirm in any game data database.

🔥 What the helmet is for: Flame Level 3

Flame Level 3 asks for exactly one Scavenger Matron Helmet. Here's the full list from the 1.0 game data:

You make the 10 Wax at the beehive from 30 Plant Fiber. After the upgrade, your Shroud passage level rises to 3 and your Shroud time to 7 minutes. You can run six Flame Altars and get +2 on all attributes. enshrouded.th.gl links this level to the Revelwood region, so the natural first helmet comes from the Springlands. A note on old guides: some English pages from 2024 list the drop as a material for Flame Level 2. That doesn't match the current game data, where it only appears in the recipe for Flame Level 3.

🏆 The four Scavenger Matron trophies

Every other Scavenger Matron Helmet goes to the Hunter. She makes four trophies, and each one also needs two Wood Planks and two Nails. From bronze onward, a bar gets added.

🧮 Our math: eleven helmets for everything

If you want the Flame upgrade and all four trophies, you need 1 + 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 = 11 helmets. The community wiki lists eight locations. Even if each one gives you a helmet, you're three short after a full round.

None of the sources we checked say whether or when she respawns. The database lists exactly one helmet per kill and no higher amount in co-op. So count on one Scavenger Matron Helmet per fight and plan a second round for the missing three once a location is occupied again.

That's why the order matters. The gold trophy gives 2.5 comfort per helmet, the basic one only 1.0. With four helmets, gold alone brings +10 comfort, while the basic and the iron trophy together only bring +6. No source says whether several trophies from the same boss stack their comfort. Check your base's comfort value before you farm all eleven. How comfort works is explained in our Enshrouded base building guide.

💡 Tips for farming the Scavenger Matron Helmet

• First helmet goes into the Flame: Without Flame Level 3 you won't get further. The trophies can wait.
• Do the quests along the way: Both quest locations complete a quest as a bonus, and the Springlands quest also gives you the Improved Grappling Hook.
• Use the late locations: Five of the eight spots are in the Nomad Highlands and the Kindlewastes. If you're out there anyway, take the fight.
• Gold comes last: Gold Bars take 40 Coal and 20 Gold Ore in the Blast Furnace for a stack of 20. The gold trophy is a job for later.
