Enshrouded Ranger Build 1.0: Skills, Bows, Arrows and Armor

Enshrouded Ranger Build 1.0: Skills, Bows, Arrows and Armor

A strong Enshrouded Ranger build for version 1.0 runs the bow as its main weapon and gets its damage from Dexterity, critical hits and Skillshots on weak points like the head. Your first points go into Dexterity, Marksman, Sniper and Bow Specialization, then into Puncture, Ranger and the Multi Shot chain.

This guide goes deeper than our overview of Enshrouded builds. You get the bow nodes with their 1.0 values, a 36-point skill order in three phases, bows and arrows from the Hunter, a craftable ranged armor set with our own totals and the mana math for eternal arrows.

๐Ÿน What 1.0 changed for the Enshrouded Ranger build

According to Keen Games, archers were in a better spot than mages before 1.0. Even so, the studio's post "1.0 Combat: changes and additions" from September 23, 2026 lists three new ranged skills: Puncture, Barrage and Survival Instinct. Existing nodes were moved, made cheaper or buffed. There are also new aim assist options for ranged combat in the settings.

The 1.0.0.0 changelog from October 14, 2026 adds three points that matter for every Enshrouded Ranger build:

  • Skill tree reset: The first time you load an old save in 1.0, the game resets your skill tree. Spend your points before you leave the base.
  • Eternal arrows: You can now upgrade them like weapons, and they come with perks. New additions include an eternal fire, shock and bone arrow.
  • Armor: The ranged sets for the Revelwood and Nomad Highlands crafting tiers were reworked. The Marksman and Sharpshooter sets now drop as loot from chests.

All values below come from the game data database enshrouded.th.gl as of 1.0. We sorted the full changelog in our Enshrouded 1.0 patch notes.

๐ŸŒณ The bow nodes for your Enshrouded Ranger build

There's no fixed class. The database lists 61 entries in the Ranger area, including dagger, poison and survival nodes. Costs are skill points as shown in the database. For nodes with three ranks, the database doesn't say whether the cost applies per rank.

Per the game data, a Skillshot is an arrow hit on a weak point such as the head. It deals 100% more base damage against enemies without a helmet and 50% more against helmeted ones. The Skill Shot node and armor with Skillshot damage push that further. Headshots are the core of every Enshrouded Ranger build.

๐ŸŽฏ Multi Shot and the crit nodes

  • Multi Shot (4): Regular arrows have a 20% chance to spawn a Flurry of Arrows that spreads slightly. The extra arrows use ammo, and Special Arrows don't trigger it.
  • Multi Shot Spread (3): 25% chance for one extra regular arrow in the Flurry, without using ammo.
  • Multi Shot Trigger (3): Special Arrows can now trigger the Flurry too, and those extra arrows cost ammo.
  • Blessed Arrows (1): bow crits restore 8/16/24 mana. Connects to Ranger and Fatal Precision.
  • Fatal Precision (1): +1/2/3% critical strike chance and +5/10/15% critical strike damage.

The database doesn't say how many arrows a Flurry contains, so we don't calculate an expected value here.

๐Ÿงญ Enshrouded Ranger build skill order in three phases

This order is our suggestion and follows the connections the database shows for each node. It's not an official build from Keen Games. The totals count each node once at its base cost.

  1. Phase 1, the start (10 points): Double Jump (2), Dexterity (1), Marksman (1), Sniper (2), Vitality Surge (1) and Bow Specialization (3).
  2. Phase 2, the core (11 points): Puncture (2), Ranger (2), Multi Shot (4), Counter Battery (1), Skill Shot (1) and Barrage (1). Barrage saves your bow's durability.
  3. Phase 3, the expansion (15 points): Multi Shot Spread (3) and Multi Shot Trigger (3), Blessed Arrows (1), Fatal Precision (1), Dessert Stomach (4) for the fourth food slot, plus Endurance, Runner and Survival Instinct (1 each).

After that, grab more Dexterity and Endurance nodes, Eagle Eye (3) for extra bow zoom and Inner Fires. Where your points come from and what a respec costs is in our Enshrouded skill points guide.

๐Ÿ“Š Our math: points, Dexterity and mana

The three phases cost 36 points in total. According to the community wiki, every level gives two skill points, so level 50 gets you 98 from leveling alone. That leaves about 62 points for attributes and comfort nodes once the full Enshrouded Ranger build is in place.

Dexterity carries the Enshrouded Ranger build. The database counts 7 Dexterity nodes in the tree, and the Ranger node adds 3 more at rank 3. That's 10 Dexterity in total, or +50% bow and dagger damage. Marksman at rank 3 adds another 15%. The database doesn't show whether the game adds or multiplies these bonuses.

Eternal arrows don't use ammo, but they cost mana. Per the database, Eternal Ember Arrow I costs 19 mana per shot. Blessed Arrows at rank 3 gives back 24 mana on every bow crit. Here's how much you get back on average per shot:

Crit chanceMana back per shotShare of 19 manaNet cost
10%2.413%16.6
15%3.619%15.4
20%4.825%14.2
30%7.238%11.8

You only shoot for free at around 79% crit chance. The database doesn't list the base crit chance. The tree and the hood add 15 percentage points: Sniper 6, Fatal Precision 3 and the Deadeye Hood 6. So in an Enshrouded Ranger build, eternal arrows stay special ammo for bosses. If you shoot a lot of them, put a few points into Spirit (+20 mana per point).

๐Ÿชต Bows for the Enshrouded Ranger build

You craft your first bow in the personal crafting menu from 5 Twigs and 1 String. Better bows come from the Hunter. The database doesn't show damage values for bows, so we compare level, draw speed and bonus stats instead.

BowLevelDraw speedBonusSource
Bow31 sโ€“crafting menu
Talion's Bow11 to 460.6 s+20% arrow speedHunter
Draconian Bow21 to 360.6 s+20% arrow speedHunter

Talion's Bow comes in six tiers. At level 11 it costs 4 Copper Bars, 2 String, 3 Hardwood and 1 Goo. Where to find the Hunter is in our Enshrouded craftspeople guide.

๐Ÿชถ Arrows for the Enshrouded Ranger build

All regular arrows are made at the Hunter in bundles of 50. The Flurry from Multi Shot pulls exactly these regular arrows from your stack.

ArrowLevelYieldIngredients
Flint Arrow55010 Twigs, 10 Flintstone
Iron Arrow225010 Twigs, 2 Iron Bars, 5 Feathers
Golden Steel Arrow385010 Twigs, 2 Steel Bars, 5 Feathers, 2 Gold Dust

Explosive Arrow I152525 Flint Arrows, 10 Tar, 5 Lump of Clay
Stun Arrow20255 Twigs, 2 Goo, Bug Dust, Alchemical Base

Per the game data, the Stun Arrow fills the enemy's Stun Bar, scales with Dexterity and opens them up for a Merciless Attack. In co-op, you can overpower enemies with it so your melee partner gets the finisher.

๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ Armor for the Enshrouded Ranger build: the Deadeye set

At level 20, the database lists a craftable ranged set from the Hunter: Deadeye. We added up the values of all five pieces:

PieceKey stats
Deadeye Hood+6% ranged crit chance, +19% Skillshot damage
Deadeye Vest+48 stamina, +9% Skillshot damage
Deadeye Gloves+6% bow damage, +9% Skillshot damage
Deadeye Trousers+9 stamina, +12 stamina regeneration
Deadeye Boots+12 stamina, +6 stamina regeneration
Total+37% Skillshot damage, +69 stamina, +18 stamina regeneration

For later levels, the Hunter has the Quetzal Hunter Gloves at level 40 with +9% ranged damage and +9% damage against ranged enemies. We couldn't cleanly match a complete ranged set above level 40 in the database. According to the 1.0 changelog, you unlock the next tier of sets automatically as soon as you upgrade the Flame.

๐Ÿ– Food for the Enshrouded Ranger build

Per the database, the Meat and Tomato Skewer is the ranged damage skewer: +30 health, +9% ranged damage, +9% dagger damage and +3 stamina regeneration for 30 minutes. For health, Crab Cakes (+280) work well, and Black Coffee covers stamina. Dessert Stomach from the Ranger area gives you the fourth slot. More on that in our Enshrouded food buffs guide.

๐Ÿ’ก How to play the Enshrouded Ranger build

  • Go for the head: Skillshots on enemies without a helmet double the base damage. Eagle Eye helps you aim at long range.
  • No Sneak Attack: Per the game data, Sneak Attack doesn't work with bows. For ambushes, carry a dagger as your second weapon.
  • In the Shroud: Survival Instinct gives back up to 9 seconds of Shroud time for every Shroud-infested enemy you kill with a bow or dagger.

If you'd rather fight at range with a wand and staff, check out our Enshrouded mage build, which also covers the Battlemage hybrid.

โ“ Enshrouded Ranger build FAQ

Is there a Ranger class in Enshrouded?

No. Ranger is one area of the shared skill tree, and you can mix in nodes from other areas whenever you like.

Which attribute matters most for the bow?

Dexterity. Every point gives +5% bow and dagger damage, and the tree gives you up to 10 points.

Is Multi Shot worth it?

Yes, as long as you carry plenty of regular arrows. The Flurry costs ammo, and Multi Shot Spread adds one free extra arrow.

Do I have to respec my Enshrouded Ranger build after 1.0?

Yes. According to the changelog, 1.0 resets your skill tree the first time you load an old save.

๐Ÿ“Œ Sources

Checked against Enshrouded version 1.0 with hotfixes up to 1.0.0.3, as of November 2026. Based on Keen Games' official posts on enshrouded.com: "1.0 Combat: changes and additions" from September 23, 2026, and the 1.0.0.0 changelog from October 14, 2026.

Skills, node connections, bows, arrows, armor pieces and food come from the game data database enshrouded.th.gl. Skill points per level come from the English community wiki at enshrouded.wiki.gg. The point, Dexterity, set and mana totals are our own calculations. One conflict: the changelog moves dagger nodes into an "Assassin" area, while the database still lists them in the Ranger area.
