Enshrouded on PS5: Price, Crossplay and Co-op After Release

Enshrouded launched on PS5 on October 15, 2026 and costs €39.99 in the PlayStation Store (Deluxe Edition €49.99, German store, as of October 27, 2026). There is no crossplay with PC so far. According to the launch FAQ, Keen Games is working on it but gives no timeline. The Xbox version only comes in 2027.

This guide sums up what is confirmed for the console version: price and editions, dates, co-op size, crossplay status, saves and what version 1.0 brings. Everything comes from Keen Games and the PlayStation Store. Where something is still open, we say so.

💶 Enshrouded PS5 price: Standard, Deluxe and disc

The PlayStation Store offers two editions. The prices come from the German store page as of October 27, 2026. Sony and Keen run discounts regularly, so check the current price in the store before you buy.

The €10 Deluxe upcharge only buys extras, not game content. Outfits, artbook, map and soundtrack change nothing about combat, building or progression. If you just want to play, take the Standard Edition.

We found no disc version for PS5: neither Keen Games' site nor the PlayStation Store lists a retail release, and the PS5 button on Keen's site leads straight to the digital store (as of October 27, 2026). You only need PS Plus for online co-op. Solo play works without a subscription.

📅 All Enshrouded release dates

Keen Games is rolling the game out in stages. PC and PlayStation 5 launched together, Xbox follows much later.

Keen Games CEO Jan Jöckel was open about the Xbox delay: the quality and performance level the studio wants on that platform simply needs more time. As of October 2026 there was no specific date for the Xbox version, only the spring 2027 window.

For context, Enshrouded entered Early Access on January 24, 2024. That's almost three years of public development before 1.0, not a quick console port.

🔗 Crossplay: PS5 and PC separate at launch

This is the most common question about the console launch. Keen Games' launch FAQ from October 13, 2026 is clear: Enshrouded is not cross-platform at launch. The studio is working on crossplay but has no timeline. Before that, Keen had already described cross-platform play as a long-term goal, not a launch feature.

Status after release: by October 27, 2026, Keen had released three hotfixes (1.0.0.1 and 1.0.0.2 on October 15 and 16, 1.0.0.3 on October 21). All three fix crashes and bugs. None of them adds crossplay or a timeline for it.

The studio named a link between consoles, meaning PS5 with Xbox, as the more likely first step. Even that only becomes possible once both versions are out, so 2027 at the earliest. There is no commitment.

If your group is mixed, you'll have to agree on one platform. Enshrouded isn't unusual here: The Planet Crafter works the same way, and Dune: Awakening also plans to add crossplay only after its console launch, so far without a date.

💾 Saves stay on their platform

Cross-progression hasn't been announced either. Your PC character and base don't move to PS5, and the same goes the other way. If you start on console, you start from scratch.

That matters most for Early Access players thinking about continuing on PS5. It doesn't work. Your PC progress stays on PC, and buying the console version means a completely new start.

👥 Co-op: up to 8 players on PS5, 16 on PC

Multiplayer groups are smaller on console: the PlayStation Store lists up to 8 online players for PS5, and PS Plus is required for that. 16 players in one shared world remain a PC feature as things stand.

PC also has dedicated servers, worlds that keep running and stay reachable without the host. Neither the 1.0 changelog nor the launch FAQ explains whether or how that works on PS5. Keen has only named dedicated servers for PC so far. Details are in our dedicated server and co-op guide.

There is no split-screen on a single console. Co-op runs online only.

📦 What version 1.0 brings

The PS5 version didn't start with the 2024 build. It shipped with all Early Access content plus the 1.0 additions. According to Keen Games, version 1.0 includes eight major Early Access updates, three new biomes with their own enemies, dynamic water and lots of weapons, armor, creatures, building materials and decorations.

The official patch notes for version 1.0.0.0 add the new Cinder's Cradle region in the north, a max level of 50 with gear up to level 55, two new Hollow Halls and full voice-over for lore notes, books and the main survivors in English, German and Mandarin Chinese. Also new: the Sparkworks logic system for switches and traps, and nine new spell types for mages.

On top of that come more unlocked map areas, reworked combat with smarter enemies and new balance, extra building features and an expanded Adventure Sharing, which lets players upload whole worlds that others can visit but not continue. On the technical side, the changelog says Keen mainly shortened shader compilation, reduced memory use and added HDR. For the time after 1.0, the studio has announced paid expansions and free content updates, with no dates yet.

💡 What this means for your purchase

Three cases are easy to separate. Solo players can pick the PS5 version without worry. A console-only group can too, as long as everyone is on PlayStation.

The tricky case is a mixed group of PC and PS5 players. Right now there is no way to play together, and betting on a later fix means betting without a date. If you want to play with PC friends, buy the PC version, even if there's a PS5 in your living room.

A fourth point concerns Xbox owners: until spring 2027 there is no option at all. If you don't want to wait, you need PC or PS5.
