KIM Chemistry Rank 5 with Amir: The Real Time Math (2026)

KIM Chemistry Rank 5 with Amir: The Real Time Math (2026)

KIM Chemistry rank 5 (“Close”) with Amir takes at least ten calendar days, no matter how many hours you play per day. The reason is spelled out on the community-run wiki at wiki.warframe.com: “Close” requires 250 Chemistry, 10 dialogues and Hex Syndicate rank 5, and per the wiki, all KIM activities are “available once per day resetting at the Daily Reset.” One conversation per day times ten is ten days. Period.

That's the math most guides skip. Instead of “how to farm Chemistry fast,” you get the real cap here, a daily routine that never loses you a day, and the points where community knowledge starts and official information ends.

📊 KIM Chemistry rank 5: the requirements vs your daily income

All six Hex members (Arthur, Aoi, Amir, Eleanor, Leticia, Quincy) use the same Chemistry ladder. The community wiki lists it like this:

Chemistry rankPointsDialoguesHex Syndicate rank

Friendly4022
Liked9043
Trusted16074
Close250105
Best Friends36013none listed

Now the other side: the most you can collect per day.

SourcePointsFrequencySource of info
Conversation in the KIMnot officially stated1x per day per memberWiki

Gift from DIRECTGIFTZ5 to 20 depending on the item1x per day, limited stockWiki

Run the numbers: even if you grab a bounty (20) and a top gift (20) every day, that's 40 points plus whatever the conversation gives. On paper, 250 Chemistry would take about five to six days. You still need ten. Points aren't the bottleneck, the ten dialogues are. You can't stack them, catch up on them or buy them.

🎯 Which KIM answers actually give Chemistry

This is the second place where a lot of players lose time: not every answer counts. The wiki describes the marking clearly. Dialogue options that give Chemistry are shown with a gradient effect:

  • Golden gradient: for The Hex and the Roundtable. This option counts.
  • Red gradient: for the Devil's Triad (Marie, Roathe, Lyon). Same function, different color.
  • Plain, uncolored options: give nothing toward it. They're flavor, not currency.

What that means for your routine: don't click through blindly. Read every reply line and pick the highlighted one if you're playing for speed. How many points a single golden answer gives isn't officially documented. Neither the patch notes nor the wiki give a number per option. Any figures floating around forums are community claims, not officially confirmed. For planning, rely on the hard number that is confirmed: 20 points per bounty.

📦 Gifts: understanding DIRECTGIFTZ

Gifts are the only source where you can actively control how much you get per day, and the only one that costs money.

  • Per the wiki, the DIRECTGIFTZ shop carries 49 gift items.
  • Prices range from 2,000 to 100,000 Höllars.
  • Every item has limited stock per Hex member, usually one to four. So you can't send Amir the same good gift over and over.
  • The point value depends on the item and the recipient. Wiki examples for Arthur: the KineKitchen Toaster gives 20 Chemistry, the KineBasik Asst. Metal Keychains give 5. Amir's values are shown in his profile.
  • You can't send gifts to the Roundtable or the Devil's Triad.

In practice: check the shop for the items worth the most to Amir and use up their stock first. Cheap 5-point gifts are wasted money while the good ones are still in stock. You earn Höllars on the side through Höllvania activities. If you're always broke and want alternatives in real currency, our Warframe platinum farming guide helps, even though DIRECTGIFTZ itself doesn't take platinum.

⚒️ The daily routine that never loses you a day

The reset is at 0:00 UTC. Whatever you haven't done by then is gone, since daily activities don't carry over. This order makes sure you never get stuck on a missing step:

StepWhat you doWhy in this order
1Open the KIM, message Amir, have the conversation, pick highlighted optionsThe dialogue count is the hard cap. Tick it off first so it never slips.
2Take and finish Amir's bountyA flat 20 points. Members are reassigned every 150 minutes, so if Amir isn't up right now, check again later in the day.
3Send a gift from DIRECTGIFTZ, highest point value firstStock is finite, so use the 20-pointers before the 5-pointers.
4Farm the rest of your Hex Standing up to the daily capWithout Hex rank 5, “Close” won't unlock, no matter how many points you have.

Step 4 is the one almost everyone underestimates. Chemistry rank 5 requires Hex Syndicate rank 5 (“Pizza Party”). If you still need Standing, the wiki gives the general formula for the daily cap as 16,000 + (Mastery Rank × 500). At Mastery Rank 12 that's 22,000 per day, and the Hex Syndicate ranks up to Pizza Party add up to 240,000 Standing. By our math, that's about eleven days in the best case.

⚠️ Why you can't catch up on a day

There's no mechanic that makes up for missed KIM days. No booster, no double Chemistry weekends, no platinum purchase. The wiki says it without exceptions: every activity once per day, reset at the Daily Reset. Two practical consequences:

  • The vacation effect: Three days without logging in means finishing three days later. The dialogue counter doesn't wait.
  • The parallel effect: Since everything is counted per day per member, taking Arthur, Aoi, Eleanor, Leticia and Quincy along in the same session costs you nothing. If you're spending ten minutes in the KIM every day anyway, do all six. The time barely goes up, the progress multiplies.

If your goal behind Amir's Chemistry rank is the campaign Fables and Frontiers: Running Late, plan the ten days firmly. The campaign itself then runs another six days with one session per day. The content is permanent, so there's no time pressure, even with the Amir's Shockwave Nightwave season running in parallel.

💡 Three things that noticeably shorten the grind

  • Watch the bounty assignments. Per the wiki, members are reassigned to bounties every 150 minutes. If Amir isn't there at first glance, check again after the next rotation instead of writing off the day.
  • Sort your gift stock first. Note which DIRECTGIFTZ items give Amir 20 Chemistry and how many are left. Otherwise you burn Höllars on 5-point gifts.
  • Run Standing and Chemistry together. Höllvania bounties pay into both: Hex Standing for your rank and 20 Chemistry for the assigned member. If you're running bounties anyway, take both. More in our Warframe tips and tricks.

❓ FAQ about KIM Chemistry with Amir

Can I reach Chemistry rank 5 with Amir in one day?

No. “Close” requires ten dialogues, and per the wiki all KIM activities are limited to once per day. Ten days is the absolute minimum.

How much Chemistry does a bounty give?

20 points, regardless of the bounty tier. It's the only exactly stated value in the system, which makes it the most reliable planning number.

How do I spot a Chemistry answer in the KIM?

By the highlight: a golden gradient for The Hex and the Roundtable, red for the Devil's Triad. Uncolored answers give nothing.

How many points does a single dialogue option give?

That's not officially documented. Numbers on it come from community reports and haven't been confirmed by Digital Extremes.

Do I really need Hex rank 5, or is Chemistry enough?

You need both. Every Chemistry rank is tied to a Hex Syndicate rank, and “Close” to rank 5 “Pizza Party.” Without that rank, the tier won't unlock.

Is it worth leveling all Hex members at once?

Yes, if you have the time. The daily limits apply per member, not globally. The extra effort per day is small, and progress runs for all six at once.

Checked as of October 2026. Chemistry tiers, daily logic, answer highlighting, gift shop and bounty rotation were checked against the community-run wiki at wiki.warframe.com (Kinemantik Instant Messenger and The Hex pages), Running Late against the official Update 43.5.0 patch notes. Values without a source are marked in the text as community claims or our own math.
