In Graveyard Keeper 2 you only get Green Scrolls from repairing houses in town, and the only place to spend them is Linda at the Dockside Club. There they bring new residents to town, which raises town quality and your likes cap. More likes mean more people at your sermon.
This guide to Graveyard Keeper 2 scrolls shows which repair pays how many scrolls, how many kits one scroll really costs and which day Linda actually takes them. Anything that comes only from the community wiki is marked as such.
๐ What Green Scrolls Are
Green Scrolls are a pure town currency. According to the community wiki graveyard-keeper.wiki, no quest pays them out, no recipe uses them and no trader buys them. They have no sell value, stack up to 999 and can't be destroyed.
The only source is repairing residential houses. The wiki counts 16 of these repairs, worth 200 Green Scrolls in total. Other databases say 180, but the wiki considers that number unsupported and recalculates it from the game data.
๐๏ธ Which Repair Pays How Many Scrolls
The repairs come in four sizes. You don't pay with coins but with kits, which according to the wiki you hand in at the sign on the free plot.
| Repair | Count | Kits (per wiki) | Scrolls each |
|---|---|---|---|
| Repair Small House | 1 | 4 Building Kit I, 3 Wooden Kit I, 1 Iron Kit I | 1 |
| Repair House | 3 | from 6 Building Kit I, 4 Wooden Kit I, 2 Iron Kit I | 3 |
| Repair Large House | 7 | from 16 Building Kit I, 8 Wooden Kit I, 4 Iron Kit I | 10 |
| Repair Block | 5 | 16 Building Kit II, 10 Furniture Kit II, 5 Sculpture Kit II | 20 or 25 |
Per the wiki, four of the five blocks pay 25 scrolls and one pays 20. That adds up to 100 + 20 + 70 + 9 + 1 = 200 Green Scrolls. For houses and large houses the wiki only lists minimum amounts, so a single plot can ask for more kits.
Our own check: in the German version of the game we saw repair signs asking for 16/10/5 and 20/10/6 kits. The first combination matches the wiki's figure for the block exactly.
๐งฎ What One Scroll Really Costs
Break the kits down per scroll and the ranking is obvious. The table uses the wiki's minimum amounts:
| Repair | Total kits | Kits per scroll |
|---|---|---|
| Small House | 8 | 8.0 |
| House | 12 | 4.0 |
| Large House | 28 | 2.8 |
| Block (25 scrolls) | 31 | 1.24 |
Per scroll, the block is more than six times cheaper than the small house. It needs Tier II kits instead of Tier I, though. Early on, large houses are the best compromise: Tier I kits, but already 10 scrolls per repair.
๐บ Handing Them to Linda: One Day Only
Linda runs the Dockside Club. According to the community wiki she only accepts Green Scrolls on the third day of the week. English guides call that day Lust, while the game itself only shows the weekdays as icons. On every other day she turns them down.
With Linda you pick how many scrolls to hand over at once: 1, 5 or 10. That brings 1, 5 or 10 new residents to town. Per the wiki, every delivery raises town quality, and town quality raises your weekly likes cap.
The wiki also lists a second dialogue branch with offers for 1, 3, 10 and 10 scrolls. They unlock one after another through your reputation with Linda, at 10, 20, 30 and 40. The wiki doesn't say what these offers deliver, and we haven't tested them in the game yet.
๐ Planning Your Deliveries
Since Linda takes at most 10 scrolls per delivery, a little planning pays off. One large house gives exactly the 10 scrolls for the biggest option, so 10 new residents in one go. A block with 25 scrolls covers two 10-scroll deliveries, and the remaining 5 fit the middle option.
All 200 Green Scrolls in Graveyard Keeper 2 add up to 20 deliveries of 10. The wiki doesn't say how many deliveries Linda allows per visit. To be safe, count on one delivery per week and start the large houses early instead of saving every repair for the late game.
๐ Why It Pays Off for Likes and Sermons
Likes are the golden thumbs at the top of the screen, and the counter has a cap, for example 0/20. According to the community wiki the cap starts at 10 and goes up to 20 after the first town battle at the harbor. After that, new residents from Green Scrolls are the main way to push it higher.
The link to the church was checked in the game: the number of people at a sermon is the lower of church quality and likes. With 47 church quality and 20 likes, 20 people show up. A gorgeous church does nothing if your likes cap is too low. According to the community, each visitor also costs one like.
How to raise church quality, for example with the choir, is covered in the Graveyard Keeper 2 choir guide.
๐ Don't Mix Them Up: Two Kinds of Scrolls
Graveyard Keeper 2 has a second kind of scroll besides the green ones, and this one gives likes directly. English sources call it the Town Gratitude Scroll. According to the community wiki, one gives 5 likes and comes from quests or the tavern.
Sources disagree on the price: the wiki says 10 silver per scroll, a GameRant playthrough says 5 silver. These scrolls don't matter for house repairs. If you want to hand scrolls to Linda, you need the green ones from repairs.
๐ก Order and Tips
- Sort by reputation: per the wiki, some large houses give the most reputation per scroll. The small house and a regular house give no reputation at all, so do them last.
- Save kits: according to the wiki, the Builder talent gives every kit a 30 percent chance of a partial refund on Tier I repairs.
- Skip nothing: even the repair that pays a single scroll is worth it, since per the wiki it counts toward an achievement.
- Plan the day: collect the scrolls and hand them in together on the third day. Missing it costs you a whole week.
Traders bring likes too. Per the wiki, traders at Tier I, II and III give 8, 16 or 25 likes a week. For Herm, the community database wikily.gg lists 2, 30 or 50 likes a week. How to level Herm up is in the guide Graveyard Keeper 2 Herm Tier 3. Town orders also give likes, in our game for example +10 likes for 5 delivered items.
โ ๏ธ Common Mistakes
- Wrong day: Linda only takes Green Scrolls on the third day of the week.
- Trying to sell them: no trader takes them, and they have no sell value.
- Planning with 180 scrolls: per the wiki there are 200. Count with the lower number and you leave repairs undone.
- Upgrading the church before likes: without a higher likes cap, sermon attendance stays capped.

Confirmed in the game: the likes counter with its cap, the sermon formula (lower of church quality and likes), town orders with +10 likes and repair signs asking for 16/10/5 and 20/10/6 kits.
