Dune Awakening Landsraad Missions: How to Use Mnemonic Recollection

Dune Awakening Landsraad Missions: How to Use Mnemonic Recollection

The short answer: in Dune Awakening Landsraad missions, every completion automatically uses up 1 Mnemonic Recollection if you have one. Only then do you get House Scrip, Faction Standing and specialization XP on top of the standard reward. You receive 5 Recollections per day and can bank up to 35, exactly seven days' worth.

With an empty account, missions still work but only pay the standard reward. That leads to the most important rule of the whole system: your payout isn't decided by how many missions you finish, but by which missions you finish while your Recollection stock is full. These numbers come from the community wiki awakening.wiki (page as of October 4, 2026) and are not part of the official patch notes, so treat them accordingly.

Important since Update 1.5: the Landsraad mission system has existed since Chapter 3 (Update 1.3, February 3, 2026). Back then Funcom replaced resource deliveries with missions and expanded the faction ranks. The official Update 1.5 announcement (September 17, 2026) sums up this rework: 20 ranks, ending with "Atreides Envoy" or "Harkonnen Enforcer".

According to the official patch notes, the missions "Convergence" and "Sample Recovery" have been disabled since then. The community wiki still describes Mnemonic Recollection, the mission pool and the reroll as below.

๐Ÿ’ก The limit hardly anyone knows about

The cap at 35 is the real bottleneck. Do the math:

SituationRecollections bankedPossible bonus completionsNote
After 1 day off55The daily income
After 3 days off1515Weekend buffer
After 7 days off3535Cap reached
After 10 days off353515 Recollections wasted

So here's what a longer break really costs: from day eight without turning anything in, you lose 5 Recollections per day for good. Stay away for two weeks and you have 35 banked instead of the theoretical 70. Half of it is gone.

In the long run, the daily income of 5 is the hard ceiling: on average you can only finish five missions per day with the bonus. Anything beyond that pays the standard reward. A full account lets you do 35 bonus completions in one go, once, and even that doesn't cover the current mission pool.

Exploration83
Combat83
Sabotage93

The wiki lists 41 missions, including "Convergence" (Crafting) and "Sample Recovery" (Exploration), both disabled since Update 1.5. Even without those two, the pool is bigger than the 35 Recollections you can store. With a completely full account you still can't run the whole pool once with the bonus. At the same time you always have 15 missions open, three random ones per specialization. This is where choosing well beats grinding hard.

๐ŸŽฏ The reroll trick: curate first, then complete

Each specialization offers three random missions. According to the community wiki, the "Abandon" option lets you drop one mission per hour and swap it for a new one from the pool. Since the Recollection is used automatically on completion and you can't assign it yourself, all your leverage is in the order:

  • Reroll first, turn in later. Clear out unattractive missions before you complete anything. Every hasty completion burns a Recollection on a mission you didn't even want.
  • With a full account, do the expensive missions first. If you start a session with 35 banked, begin with the tasks that give the best return for the effort.
  • Plan one reroll per hour. The cooldown keeps running while you do something else. If you abandon one mission every 60 minutes while farming in Hagga Basin, you end a long session with a much better board.
  • Don't empty the tank. Once the account hits zero, the next completion pays no House Scrip. If Scrip matters more to you than fast progress, stop and let the daily income do its work.

How the political system around it works, with houses, votes and faction goals, is covered in our Landsraad guide. This article goes one level deeper, into the missions themselves.

๐Ÿ”— Requirement: Faction Rank 5

Dune Awakening Landsraad missions aren't available from the start. According to the community wiki, you unlock them through the journey "The Art of Making Friends" at Faction Rank 5. Before that, you simply don't see the mission board. If you're stuck at that point, the specializations guide helps, because the specialization XP from Recollection bonuses feeds right back into that system. Which missions give that XP fastest is listed in our guide to specialization XP.

By the way, one old annoyance from the Landsraad before Chapter 3, when there were still kill and delivery tasks instead of missions, had already been fixed with patch 1.1.15.0 on July 7, 2025. Since then, kill and delivery contributions could still be turned in after the task was already complete, with the reward based on your personal contribution. That ended the frustration of a big guild finishing a task in minutes while everyone else got nothing.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Five new Landsraad missions from patch 1.4.10.0

Patch 1.4.10.0 on June 24, 2026 added five missions. They're officially confirmed. Two of them, "Convergence" and "Sample Recovery", were disabled again by Funcom with Update 1.5:

MissionWhat it's about
ConvergenceTriangulate landmarks in Hagga Basin to track down a lost Fremen relic
Sample RecoveryRecover sandworm samples a Maas Kharet defector hid in Hagga Basin
Clear the RunCrush the Maas Kharet at Smuggler's Run to avenge a fallen member of a Great House
Watching the RunSet up a surveillance operation at Smuggler's Run for a Great House
Terminal VelocityRecover an experimental Sandbike engine lost on an earlier run

Of the three still active, Clear the Run and Watching the Run take place at Smuggler's Run, so not in the Deep Desert. That makes them easy picks for bonus completions: short trips, no wipe risk and a predictable run time.

โš’๏ธ What it all earns in House Scrip

An honest take: the Recollection bonus isn't an income source on its own. It's a multiplier on activity you're doing anyway. Five bonus completions per day is the realistic long-term level. If you build up House Scrip on purpose, combine it with your regular income. How to grow your Solaris reserves on the side is in the Solaris farming guide.

We deliberately don't give exact Scrip payouts per mission here. They vary by mission and no official source breaks them down completely.

โœจ What changes in solo mode

In single-player mode, live since September 17, 2026 with Update 1.5, the Landsraad keeps running without other players. The patch notes say: "The Landsraad simulates other guilds to ensure a dynamic and believable Landsraad competition that progresses even without player participation." So the political competition stays, with simulated rivals. Everything else solo mode brings is collected in our single-player guide.
