Farming Warframe Void Relics comes down to three steps: collect Lith, Meso, Neo and Axi, refine them with Void Traces at the Void Relic console and crack them in Void Fissure missions. Bring four Radiant relics of the same type into one fissure and your chance at a rare Prime part jumps from 2 to roughly 34 percent. Anything you get twice goes to the kiosk for Ducats.
This guide covers the whole chain: where relics drop, refinement levels and their cost, how a fissure mission plays out, the math behind the four-player squad and how to cash in duplicates.
โข๏ธ Warframe Void Relics: Lith, Meso, Neo and Axi
There are four relic tiers. The official "Relic Hunting 101" article on warframe.com describes Lith and Meso as common and Neo and Axi as rare, with the most valuable rewards. For planning, though, what matters most is which Prime parts a relic contains.
According to the official drop tables, every tier contains Warframe and weapon parts plus Forma blueprints. The parts of one Prime set are spread across relics of several tiers, and that spread is different for every set. Lith comes from early parts of the Star Chart, Axi from late ones. Which tier drops in a mission depends on the mission level.
| Relic tier | Typical area | Contents per drop tables |
|---|---|---|
| Lith | early planets, Rotation A of short endless runs | mixed Warframe and weapon parts, plus Forma blueprints |
| Meso | mid Star Chart | also mixed, no separate class of parts |
| Neo | late Star Chart | also mixed |
| Axi | endgame nodes, late rotations | also mixed |
warframe.com names these sources: Void missions that guarantee a relic on completion, endless missions outside the Void, Elite Sanctuary Onslaught, Heist missions and Relic Packs bought with Syndicate Standing. Per the same page, Requiem relics drop from Kuva Siphon and Kuva Flood missions.
The most reliable way to farm Void Relics is endless missions. Survival and Defense hand out a rotation reward every five minutes or every five waves, and relics sit in the early rotations there. If you're running The Steel Path anyway, you can farm the same relics and pick up Steel Essence on top.
โจ Refining Void Relics at the Void Relic console
Freshly farmed relics are Intact. Per the official Orbiter guide, the Void Relic console sits directly across from the Conclave console, on the port side of your Orbiter near the Arsenal. You refine relics there with Void Traces.
Every relic has six possible rewards: three common, two uncommon and one rare. Refinement only shifts the weighting between those six. It doesn't add or remove anything.
| Level | Void Traces | common total | uncommon total | rare |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Intact | 0 | 76% | 22% | 2% |
| Exceptional | 25 | 70% | 26% | 4% |
| Flawless | 50 | 60% | 34% | 6% |
| Radiant | 100 | 50% | 40% | 10% |
Going from Flawless to Radiant costs another 50 Void Traces for just four extra percentage points on the rare reward. Solo, that's a bad deal. In a group the math flips. More on that below.
How many Void Traces you can hold
You don't farm Void Traces separately. They drop in the fissure mission itself: reaching ten Reactant gives 6 to 30 Traces, according to the community wiki. For each squadmate who picks the reward from your relic, you get 5 bonus Traces, up to 15 per relic. So one fissure run gives you between 6 and 45 Traces.
Your cap is tied to Mastery Rank and follows the formula Mastery Rank times 50 plus 100. Rank 13 holds 750 Traces, rank 30 exactly 1,600. If you're sitting at the cap, every extra Trace is wasted, so refine a few relics to Radiant before that happens.
๐บ๏ธ How a Void Fissure mission works
On the Star Chart, fissures are their own nodes with a time window, sorted by relic tier. When you start the mission, a window opens where you equip exactly one relic. You can run the mission without one, but you won't get a Prime reward.
Corrupted enemies spawn during the mission. They drop Reactant, glowing orbs that vanish after a short time. Every player needs ten. Only the tenth Reactant cracks your relic.
Important: the counter is personal. In regular fissures Reactant isn't shared like Credits, everyone collects their own ten. Only in Void Storm missions does every pickup count for the whole squad, according to the community wiki. If you hang back in a Defense mission and never run into the orbs, you leave empty-handed even though the team wins.
If you don't reach ten, the relic stays in your inventory unused. You lose nothing but time. The Void Traces you spent refining it are only gone once the relic is actually cracked.
๐ฅ Farming Void Relics as a squad: better than one-in-three odds
At the end of the mission, the game shows up to four rewards, one per player with an equipped relic. Here's the part many players figure out late: you can pick any one of them, even if your own relic doesn't contain that part.
That's the whole idea behind a radshare. Four players bring the same Radiant relic. Each has a 10 percent shot at the rare part. The chance that at least one of them rolls it, so everyone can take it, is 1 โ 0.9โด, or 34.39 percent.
For comparison: farming solo with an Intact relic gives you 2 percent. That's a factor of 17 per run, for 100 Void Traces and three squadmates. No other lever for Warframe Void Relics comes close.
Solo, Radiant is almost never worth it. Flawless or plain Intact plus more runs is the better call there. You'll find radshare groups in recruiting chat. The usual call-out is "Rad Share" plus the relic name.
๐ฆ Duplicate Prime parts: Ducats instead of inventory clutter
After twenty runs you'll have five identical bronze parts lying around. Trade them for Ducats at the Void Trader's kiosks. Per the community wiki, the kiosks are in the Concourse area of the Relays, except Maroo's Bazaar.
| Prime part rarity | Ducats |
|---|---|
| Common (bronze) | 15 |
| Uncommon (silver) | 45 |
| Rare (gold) | 100 |
Some older parts from Prime Vault relics are worth 25 or 65 Ducats instead. You spend Ducats at Baro Ki'Teer, who shows up at a Relay every two weeks for 48 hours.
One warning before you hit the kiosk: check rare gold parts on the player market first. Some sell for far more Platinum than 100 Ducats are worth.
Forma blueprints from relics are the classic consolation prize. warframe.com lists them as possible relic contents alongside Prime parts. Don't toss them. Every Prime build eats Forma sooner or later.
๐ก A realistic weekly plan for Warframe Void Relics
- Farm relics: two or three endless runs through Rotation C, depending on the tier you want.
- Build up Void Traces: crack Intact relics in public fissure groups until your cap is full.
- Set up a radshare: refine four copies of the relic you want to Radiant, then look for a group in recruiting chat.
- Clean up: turn duplicates into Ducats, but check gold parts for trade value first.
If you're new and don't have a team yet, Intact relics and public groups are your best bet. The right frame helps more than any refinement. Our picks are in the best beginner Warframes guide. Prime Access frames like Citrine Prime are also farmable through relics for free.
๐งช Terminology: what's official and what isn't
Official on warframe.com: Void Relics, Void Fissure missions, Void Storm missions, Void Traces, Ducats, Prime parts and the Void Relic console, plus "refining" for spending Void Traces on a relic.
The term Reactant, the four refinement names (Intact, Exceptional, Flawless, Radiant) and the percentages come from the community wiki. "Radshare" is player slang, not an official term.
โ Warframe Void Relics FAQ
Is refining to Radiant worth it solo?
Rarely. Solo, your rare chance only goes from 2 to 10 percent, but it costs 100 Void Traces. Without a group, Intact or Flawless relics and more runs work better.
What happens if I don't collect ten Reactant?
Your relic isn't cracked and stays in your inventory. Any refinement you already paid for stays too, so you only lose the mission time.
Can I take a squadmate's reward?
Yes. At the end of the mission, everyone can pick one of the offered rewards, no matter which relic they brought. That's what the four-player tactic is built on.
How many Void Traces can I store?
Mastery Rank times 50 plus 100. At rank 20 that's 1,100 Traces, at rank 30 exactly 1,600. Traces collected above the cap are lost.
Which relic tier should I farm?
That depends entirely on your goal. The parts of a Prime set are spread across several tiers, and differently for each set. The part you're missing decides which tier you farm, and the official drop tables show which relic it's in.
Are Void Storms the same as Void Fissures?
Almost. Void Storms are the Railjack version and crack relics too, but they run through Proxima regions instead of normal Star Chart nodes. warframe.com lists both as valid ways to crack Warframe Void Relics.
