Soulframe World Trees: How to Find and Cleanse Them for Fast Travel

Soulframe World Trees: How to Find and Cleanse Them for Fast Travel

Are the Soulframe World Trees randomly placed? No. They stand at fixed locations and are among your most important tools for revealing the map and fast travel. This guide shows step by step how you find them, cleanse them and turn them into a fast travel network, as of Preludes 16.

๐ŸŒณ Are the Soulframe World Trees Random? No!

The locations of the Soulframe World Trees are fixed, not random. A total of 16 World Trees are spread across the map of Midrath (as of Preludes 13). They sit at prominent spots, in forests, on hills, next to settlements and on rock formations. You find your first one (World Tree 14) south of Bracken Brae on a large rock formation.

One tree (World Tree 16) can currently only be reached via fast travel, provided you have unlocked it before.

๐Ÿ” How to Spot Them Under the Fog

The trick: you do not have to search blindly. Zoom in on the map and you can make out the faint silhouette of a large gray tree even in regions still covered by fog. That is where one of the trees stands. This lets you plan your route instead of wandering through the fog at random. Especially in your first hours, it pays to avoid fights and collect the trees before you venture deeper into dangerous areas.

โšก How to Cleanse a World Tree, Step by Step

Every corrupted tree has a polearm called Duhk Halic stuck in it, surrounded by the gray slime of the corruption. Here is how you cleanse the tree:

  1. Walk up to the base of the tree and look for the polearm stuck in it.
  2. Pull out the Duhk Halic: this frees the tree from the corruption.
  3. Wait a moment until the surrounding fog recedes on the map.
  4. Pick up the Votive Shrines (small shrines for side tasks) that unlock nearby.

As a reward you get the Duhk Halic for crafting (as a fragment or blueprint), a part of the map, Mastery progress for your account and one line of a lore poem per tree. A nice bonus: much like in Dark Souls, you can read short messages from other players at the trees.

๐Ÿงญ Unlocking Wevetseed Fast Travel

The real convenience upgrade: the Soulframe World Trees become fast travel points. The path there leads through the Ancestor Verminia:

  1. Recruit Verminia: Her camp is southwest of Fort Curlail (see below). Complete the quest "Brewer of Hues" to recruit her.
  2. Start "The Waste Bear": Verminia gives you this quest. Only completing it unlocks fast travel.
  3. Harvest Wevetseeds: After the quest, a plant grows in Verminia's part of the Nightfold (your home base) that regrows Wevetseeds, the fast travel currency, every day.

"The Waste Bear" runs through several stages: collect Wevetwood sap, find three more seeds through a song puzzle, retrieve a seed from the Mendicant, defeat the boss Wazzard of Wastes, make your way through the Neath'Uns dungeon, take down the Waste Bear and finally plant the Wevetseeds.

๐Ÿš€ How Fast Travel Works

Every trip costs one Wevetseed. You only get around 6โ€“7 seeds per day, so plan your jumps carefully. You can travel to any World Tree you have already discovered and to the Kith of Kings Enclave. Valid destinations show the Wevetseed icon on the map. Rule of thumb: cleanse every tree you pass right away. It pays off twice: map plus fast travel.

๐ŸŽจ Bonus: Finding Verminia, the Ancestor of Hues

Since Verminia matters so much for fast travel, here is her location in detail: her camp lies southwest of Fort Curlail. Read the note on a rock there to start "Brewer of Hues". The dungeon entrance is east of it at the foot of a large tree. Follow your Sparrow through forest, cave and ruins, free a rat from an enemy camp and face the boss Nimrod (around level 12) along the way.

At the end you defeat Nimrod one last time using the Cloudquell item Verminia provides. Since Preludes 16, Cloudquells also drive away rain according to the patch notes.

Afterwards Verminia offers dyes, transmog (Bestitching) and elixirs, including the Cogah Elixir. That makes her your go-to for everything cosmetic, while Tuvalkane takes care of weapon stats. Tuvalkane is also the one who crafts new pacts, which our guide to Soulframe pacts explains.

๐Ÿ’ก Tips for Efficient Exploration

  • Trees first: Collect the trees early. Every revealed region makes it easier to find your way.
  • Prioritize Verminia: No Verminia, no fast travel. Recruit her as soon as you can travel safely.
  • Save your Wevetseeds: Use the limited daily seeds for long distances, not short trips.
  • Farm on the way: Picking up materials while you move between trees is worth it. Our Amber Lampyrite farming guide shows which sources pay off.

The Soulframe World Trees are no random find but 16 fixed anchor points that open up the map and, after "The Waste Bear", give you a convenient Wevetseed fast travel network. Cleanse every tree you see and recruit Verminia early, and you will save yourself a lot of walking. The spelling "Cloudquell" and its rain effect were checked against the Preludes 16 patch notes.

Since Soulframe is still in the Preludes phase, the number of trees and individual steps can change with upcoming updates.

As of: October 8, 2026, Preludes 16 with Hotfix 4.
