Soulframe Skilter Farming 2026: Drop Locations, Stats and the Ruthos Route

The Soulframe Skilter (spelled “Skílter” in game) is a light Ode'n Flyblade, a throwing weapon for the sidearm slot. Plenty of older guides send you to Banneret Anara for it, but according to the community-run wiki at wiki.avakot.org the weapon is not on his drop list at all. This guide shows where the Skilter really drops, what stats it has and how to farm it with a short route, checked against Preludes 16.

⚔️ What is the Soulframe Skilter?

The Skilter is a Flyblade of Ode'n origin. Its in-game description says it was forged in the molten star Volhal: a feather-light throwing knife that can be hurled across an entire Skytower without truly leaving its owner's hand. As a sidearm it gives melee weapons a ranged option.

The stats below come from the Avakot wiki:

The Smite chance gives you occasional procs even from range. How Smite works in detail is covered in the Smite guide.

📍 Where does the Soulframe Skilter drop?

According to Avakot you get the Skilter from these sources:

SourceTypeNote
Gruul-Seeker RuthosAgarihill in the far northeast of Midrath, also in the Cogah
Sinecure Gruulseekerregular enemyMidrath and Glades of Andurin, carries a Skilter itself
Hark, The CollectorOperationrandom spot in the eastern half of Midrath, every 6 hours
Containerschests and cratesBuried Banneret Chest (Rovgot), Collector Crate, Ode'n Weapon Rack
Wares of Zenithshop120 Arcs

What about Banneret Anara? Per the wiki he guards the rear entrance of Fort Kearnhold, fights with a mace and fire attacks and does not have the Skilter on his drop list. Farming him for it wastes your time.

There has been no fragment recipe since Preludes 15: the Skilter now drops fully forged with random Craftwork. Players who still hold fragments from before can redeem them at Tuvalkane, according to the wiki.

🔁 How to farm the Soulframe Skilter efficiently

The most reliable single source is Gruul-Seeker Ruthos. Per the wiki he is the Agari variant of the Sinecure Elite Scouts and can be killed again every 30 minutes. Here is how to use the wait:

  1. Kill Ruthos in the northeast and grab the loot from the Agaric ring.
  2. Meanwhile hunt Sinecure Gruulseekers in Midrath. They carry a Skilter themselves.
  3. If you see the Collector descending with fog and thunder, take on the Operation “Hark, The Collector”: three Sinecure waves, then a Nimrod.
  4. Open every Ode'n Weapon Rack along the way.
  5. After 30 minutes, head back to Ruthos.

Since Preludes 16, Agari give more XP according to the patch notes, but enemy level rises by 4 after each Agari you defeat. More Agari for a bigger loop are in the world bosses guide.

🎁 What else Ruthos drops

The Ruthos run pays off even without Skilter luck. According to Avakot his normal loot table also includes the bows Avex and Blitzel, Grinn and the long blade Ilverac, plus the rune Alca's Breath, Thrice Blessed Quicksilver Joineries and Agaric, Glow, Amber and Faer Lampyrite. In the Cogah he adds the rune The Torrent and fragments of the talisman “Das Cogah Lorcaan”. Every kill fills your material and weapon stash on the side.

📯 How “Hark, The Collector” works

Per the wiki the Operation starts when the Collector of the Ode Inquisitor Mada descends amid fog and thunder. You attack the Collector crate first, then hold off three waves of Sinecure and finally face a Nimrod. The location changes at random within the eastern half of Midrath, and you can complete the Operation once every six hours.

🗡️ How to beat Gruul-Seeker Ruthos

According to the wiki, Ruthos shares most attacks with regular Sinecure Scouts, so expect bow shots from range. On top of that he has a charged Voltaic Shot that deals Voltaic damage. Keep cover between you and him, close the distance quickly and keep moving while he charges. Spectral Sight (Q) helps you track him, and you pull Smite with Q plus left mouse button.

🛠️ What is the Soulframe Skilter good for?

  • Ranged option: the Skilter closes the range gap of any melee weapon.
  • Hybrid builds: with a 7 Courage and 6 Grace requirement it suits builds that invest in both Virtues. Details in the Virtues guide.
  • Tempers: per the wiki it can roll the Ode'n Tempers Bypass, Galvanic Strike and Slinger's Tempo, among others.

Other Flyblades and how to use them as a sidearm are covered in the Soulframe Flyblades guide.
