Conan Exiles Patch 2.0.0: Every Change at a Glance
Conan Exiles Patch 2.0.0 was released on July 21, 2026, and it's more than a story update. It kicks off the free four-part arc Legacy of the Giant-Kings, brings back legendary repair and delivers the quality-of-life changes veterans have been waiting years for: ten extra inventory slots, up to ten save slots and frame generation for older Nvidia cards.
We went through the 2.0.0 patch notes and sorted them by relevance, not by changelog order. What actually affects your day-to-day play is at the top.
๐ฟ The big one: Legacy of the Giant-Kings Part 1
The real content of the patch is a new endgame dungeon beneath the Unnamed City: the Cyclopean Halls. An NPC named Akhamet sends you to look for the remains of the Giant-Kings, and you fight your way through sacrificial chambers and across bridges to a multi-phase final boss.

โ๏ธ Legendary repair is back
The most requested change of all: worn legendary weapons and armor can be repaired again instead of being lost for good. The repair station sits in the new dungeon, and you pay with Legendary Fragments from there.
In practice, your legendary finds are no longer consumables but long-term gear. If you used to hold back on wearing a good piece day to day, now you can. The details are in our legendary repair guide, and our overviews of the best weapons and the best armor fit right in.

Ten extra inventory slots don't sound like much, but in base building they're exactly the buffer that saves you an extra trip to the chest. The increase to ten save slots is aimed at everyone running several single-player worlds side by side or saving before risky building projects.
The Withered Scion used to be a test of patience: a four-hour respawn meant you got it once per session in practice. At 15 minutes, it becomes a target you can run several times in a row. That noticeably changes your farming route in the Unnamed City.
๐ฅ๏ธ Tech and performance
- FSR Frame Generation on older Nvidia cards. The feature now also works on GeForce 10, 20 and 30 series cards. If you're on a 1070, 2060 or 3060, this is the most relevant line in the whole changelog, especially since the move to Unreal Engine 5.
- Shorter processing time for placeables in replication. Big bases with lots of objects should create less load.
- Improved processing of stability changes while building. Pays off directly for large building projects.
- Several crash causes fixed, among them in the clan tab, when adjusting sliders and with mods that add Journeys.
๐ง Followers, controls and details
- Thralls now show a dying state when they're incapacitated, including a countdown. So you finally see whether you can still get there in time or whether it's over. Which followers are worth it is in our list of the best thralls.
- More UI actions can be rebound, including quick deposit. If you play with a controller or your own key layout, you gain the most here.
- Extra dye channels for camel saddles.
- Thralls no longer turn invisible after leaving dungeons.
- Better pathfinding for NPCs and followers on bridges, mainly relevant in the new dungeon.
- Exploit with infinitely stackable gates fixed. Probably the most important fix of the patch on PvP servers.
- Expanded mod support for various weapon types.
๐ Is it worth coming back?
If you haven't played since the Enhanced update: yes. Patch 2.0.0 is the first big content patch after the engine switch, and with Enhanced, Funcom reached its highest player count since launch, so the servers are well populated. If you play continuously, the order is clear: run the Cyclopean Halls fully once to learn the way, then work the new Withered Scion frequency into your farming route. The rest are improvements you'll notice on your own.
